Chapter 344: Master of Time Management?
After wrapping up the most serious topic ever, the four companions shifted to a more relaxed chat.
From now on, they didn’t need to care too much about the Desert Realm; the monsters there wouldn’t be causing any more ruckus.
It was already a relatively small realm compared to others, and the overwhelming strength and number of monsters were solely due to the power spillover from the Golden City.
Now that the power was being reeled back in, the Desert Realm had returned to normal.
Isaac could hang around for a little longer, then he could pass the baton and come back.
They also discussed some more casual matters.
For instance, did Isaac need to make some new friends?
The other three unanimously agreed, as for what he thought? Totally irrelevant!
Then someone asked if Edward needed to meet new friends too?
Three heads nodded in agreement once again; his opinions were equally insignificant.
To this, Isaac gave a thumbs up. He shouldn’t be the only one doing all the socializing!
Next on the list: Did Elia need to make some new friends?
Before the votes could be cast, Elia interrupted.
She’s the Emperor! She calls the shots!
Finally, what about Yuliya? Did she need to meet new friends?
Uh… that one seemed a bit inappropriate.
Once those discussions wrapped up, everyone returned to their tasks. Yuliya stayed back with Elia to handle state affairs.
Yuliya was eager to take a closer look at the Jade Emperor Kingdom’s business; it would help with future plans.
Soon night fell and deepened.
“Sister, it’s late; time for bed.”
She promised to be by Elia’s side for twenty hours that day, so naturally, that included bedtime!
“I’ll just look for a bit longer; you go ahead and sleep.”
“Oh, okay! Sleep tight, then!”
She flopped on the bed like a rock.
Ah, the youth’s sleep quality—so enviable.
Elia could only smile softly at that.
Yuliya logged off.
Back on Blue Star, there were still things to handle.
But this log-off felt a bit different than before.
Over in Blue Star, Xu Xiaoya opened her eyes and immediately noticed something under her head.
“Little Moon?”
This sensation wasn’t new—she had gotten used to it by now.
“Yup! Back already?”
“Did you wait long? You could actually—”
Halfway through her sentence, Xu Xiaoya froze.
Wait a minute… she couldn’t, could she? She was a deleted account now—a bona fide black market citizen of Blue Star.
But content viewing was still possible. It was like a tourist browsing mode.
No, no, I’ll discuss this with Sister Tong later.
For now, I can still qualify as a game manager, right? So what if I use a cheat?
Just when Yuliya was about to say something more, her vision suddenly shifted, revealing two different images.
“Hmmm?”
Simultaneously, in a side hall in Emerald City’s palace.
Elia whipped her head around to look at the suddenly awake but somewhat different Yuliya.
“Little Yuliya? What’s wrong? Why did you…?”
The shift was sudden.
“Elia sister, greetings!”
“Uh-huh.” Elia took a deep breath, “What’s happening? Why did you pop out?”
“I’m not sure either.”
Xu Xiaoya felt a bit dazed too.
Why did she suddenly jump out?
She thought for a moment and with a flick of her mind, she switched back.
In an instant, Yuliya blinked.
“Huh? Sister, I’m fine—don’t worry!”
Elia nodded, “Oh, good to hear.”
However, on the other side, things were a bit more concerning.
Little Moon stared at Xu Xiaoya, who suddenly radiated an intense aura, instinctively shrinking back.
“So, um… you… I…”
No matter what, Little Moon was still way too timid; she could hardly bear the overpowering aura of a strong opponent.
This wouldn’t do!
Switch!
“Don’t panic, Little Moon! I’m coming to rescue you!”
Then, Yuliya straightened up, supporting her chin with dignity as she began to ponder.
Elia blinked, just watching her.
After all, Elia was a legendary figure and only felt the atmosphere had gotten slightly tenser.
But still, she preferred a lighter vibe among family.
Oops, Yuliya’s wisdom points had hit rock bottom.
Even the wise Yuliya was running low on brain power.
“Little Moon, hang tight; I’ll be right back—I need to visit the restroom.”
Xu Xiaoya said, then her figure flickered and landed in the bathroom.
As she arrived in the restroom, the switch happened again.
Yuliya bolted up and proclaimed, “Sister, I’m going to pick flowers!”
Elia blinked, “Huh? Didn’t you just go? And don’t shout about that so loudly!”
“Oh, I just thought of going again.”
She dashed off with bang and clatter.
Thus, in two completely different places—one could say even different worlds—two identical beings sat propping their chins, pondering the same life decisions.
One pair of eyes filled with authority, the other with wisdom.
What on earth was going on?
After pondering for a moment, she finally figured it out.
This was like being back in the fiery days before the “Otherworld” game launched.
One in the Magic City on Blue Star, one in Falling Leaf City of the Jade Emperor Kingdom.
But the twist was, now they were both completely synchronized.
Synchronization Rate: 100%. But synchronization does not mean merging.
Two consciousnesses, two bodies, two individuals, linked together.
Similar to clones, but with no hierarchy in splitting.
“Phew!”
Both sighed heavily at the same time.
Good thing she was quick on her feet; the bathroom escape technique saved the day.
But looking back at the series of recent maneuvers…
Was getting a Master of Time Management vibe off all this?
Little Master, there’s more to this chapter! Click the next page to continue reading; the excitement’s just beginning!
Pfft, pfft, pfft! That’s what the rotten guys and gals do—what does that have to do with me?
I just don’t want them to feel sad or hurt.
…
Wait, that doesn’t sound right either; the more I say, the more wrong it feels! Forget it.
Time to figure out how to handle the current situation.
After a bit of trial and error, she realized she could really power down.
So, Yuliya of the Jade Emperor Kingdom logged back in.
“Sister, I’m hitting the hay now, goodnight! I won’t wake up again, so feel free to do what you want!”
With that, she tucked her blanket snugly and powered down.
Now it was genuinely true; she could do anything—squeeze, knead, or even take a big bite!
As her consciousness returned to Blue Star, Xu Xiaoya took a deep breath, stretching out a bit.
Once confident all was good, she stepped out of the restroom to find Little Moon waiting on the couch.
“Are you alright now?” Little Moon asked with concern.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just a bit weird getting used to log-off on my first awakening. Now it’s stable.”
Little Moon let out a huge sigh of relief, “In that case, let’s rest; you must be exhausted.”
“Ah? More sleeping?”
“More?”
“Nothing, sleeping is okay, I guess.”
Xiaoya returned to her room, with Little Moon following her in.
Bedtime: Check. Snuggles: Check. Lights out: Check. Sleep: Check.
Little Moon hugged Xu Xiaoya tightly, snuggling up close.
Meanwhile, in the Jade Emperor Kingdom, Elia watched the remarkably still and quiet Yuliya, contemplated a bit, then climbed over to hug her, snuffing out the candlelight as she fell asleep.
Yuliya occasionally switched views, gazing at both Elia and Little Moon hugging her simultaneously, lost in thought.
First of all, this wasn’t a time management thing, and she was not a sleazy individual.
This was just understanding each other.
Sigh, what a morally complicated woman.
