Chapter 363: The Arrangement
While Alisa was still in a state of confusion, Yuliya had already whisked her away to the Jade Emperor Kingdom.
With another leap, they popped straight into Isaac’s home.
Isaac, tea cup suspended mid-air, blinked at the sudden appearance of the two girls.
What’s happening here?
“Big Brother, she’s going to stay with you for a bit. I’ll get the teacher right away.”
With that, Yuliya vanished into thin air again.
Isaac: …
Alisa: …
At this moment, Alisa seemed to finally register what she had just gotten into with Yuliya.
Spatial jumping! Multiple long-distance jumps!
They started from the Verdant Empire’s palace, jumped to the teleportation array, then teleported here.
She couldn’t help but exclaim, “Is Yuliya-chan already this impressive?”
Isaac sighed in agreement, “Yeah, she’s really something. Wait, who are you?”
“Me?” Alisa said with a gentle smile, “I’m Alisa, the princess of the Verdant Empire. I think I just heard Yuliya call you ‘Big Brother.’”
“Right, I’m Isaac, Yuliya’s brother.”
Isaac politely replied.
But in the next moment, he was hit with a realization.
Wait a minute! Alisa! The princess of the Verdant Empire!
This is the friend Yuliya mentioned a few times… the one she wanted to introduce…
Isaac suddenly felt a bit fidgety.
Still, there was a guest here—even if she was just a random drop-off from Yuliya, she was still a guest.
Isaac figured he better not make things awkward and took a polite sip of water instead.
Fortunately, Yuliya soon appeared again, this time with Edward.
As soon as Edward spotted Alisa, he took a tiny step back and cleared his throat.
But it was pointless.
“Lord Edward! It’s been so long since I last saw you! It feels like ages…”
Edward cut her off, “Ahem! Alisa, what are you doing here? Did that guy Ansar send you?”
Upon hearing her father’s name, Alisa suddenly hit a verbal roadblock.
“No, I invited Alisa here. I already informed His Majesty Ansar with a letter.”
It was just a quick note explaining the situation; that was enough.
The reason for not meeting in person was mainly to avoid getting tangled up with her, not that Alisa couldn’t have made it out.
Edward’s demeanor grew serious: “Girl, what exactly do you plan to do?”
Yuliya glanced at the three of them, pondered for a moment, and decided to just be direct.
“I’m getting ready to leave.”
Edward & Isaac: …
Alisa: Huh?
“I’ve nearly wrapped up everything here, and it’s time for me to embark on my journey.”
The other two remained silent.
Alisa curiously asked, “Is it similar to what Lord Edward did, traveling to far-off places to see the beautiful scenery?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
“Then let’s just go together!”
Yuliya chuckled and shook her head, “You won’t be able to keep up with me. Neither can the teacher.”
Edward sighed heavily, “Yep, Yuliya’s going to soar high and far; we can’t keep up.”
At this point, Alisa finally noticed that the atmosphere had turned strange and chose to stay quiet.
Yuliya then took Alisa’s hand, smiling as she said, “I’ll be away for quite a while; I’m not sure how long, but I hope Alisa can follow the teacher afterward.”
“But I’m not…”
“Actually, you’ve already become the teacher’s student. When we left the Verdant Empire, that was the case. The teacher agreed to that last phrase, which means you’ve already been accepted. You really should seize this opportunity, Alisa!”
“I…” Alisa looked up at Edward.
Edward closed his eyes and finally nodded, “I’m not very good at teaching, but if you still want to…”
“Teacher!”
“Fine, but Yuliya is the senior, and you’re the junior.”
“No problem!”
Seeing this, Yuliya couldn’t help but smile.
In truth, her bringing Alisa in to seek mentorship wasn’t just about fulfilling Alisa’s wish or having someone new to keep them company. There were deeper implications too.
Having the princess of the Verdant Empire officially take the Jade Emperor Kingdom’s royalty as her mentor would tighten the bonds between their two nations.
This was huge.
“Afterward, the teacher can take Alisa out for more adventures. Now that the teacher is on the verge of a breakthrough, a new journey may show her a whole new world. Alisa has always wanted to hear the teacher’s stories. The teacher could actually write a book about them. I’ll come back and check on it.”
“You’re putting me in charge now?” Edward teased.
“Of course! The teacher is usually a bit forgetful and doesn’t focus on the important stuff, so I have to make sure everything is organized!”
“…”
Uh-oh, this girl really has the nerve to say that recently.
“Oh! And Auntie! It’s been ages since I last saw her! Teacher, you’re not leaving her somewhere unattended, right?”
“Frieda and I aren’t actually married; she’s my subordinate. Just keeping up appearances before.”
“Huh? Even less acceptable! Teacher, you’re of a ripe age and still single? I think Aunt Frieda is a perfect match!”
“…”
“And you, Big Brother, don’t you dare laugh! You’re included too!”
Isaac froze mid-sip, blinking in surprise.
How did I get dragged into this? And hey, I wasn’t laughing!
Okay, maybe internally I was.
“If the opportunity arises, you better not let it slip, Big Brother!”
“Well… Yuliya, I mean, our royal family, or those of us at the Emerald Level and above, usually put these matters on hold. No rush.”
“But you could still keep an eye on the situation. If an opportunity comes up, wouldn’t it…”
Yuliya winked at Isaac.
“…”
Yuliya went through a lengthy list of various things to keep in mind.
What could they do? These two are such big men, and Elia is busy as always. It fell to her, the clever, capable, and beloved little angel, to step in!
Finally, she handed over some jade and a ring to Edward.
“Well then, I’m off.” She smiled slightly, seemingly free of all cares.
Alisa stayed silent.
Isaac nodded, “Don’t worry.”
Edward replied with a smile, “I’ll consider what you said.”
Yuliya nodded, and a white light began to wrap around her body.
“I’ll come back with good news!”
With that, her figure vanished.
