Chapter 416: Roommate
Yuliya was eating while Inif watched her.
Inif just stared as Yuliya stuffed her face one plate at a time, chewing twice before swallowing.
Before long, the plates were empty, and Yuliya was back for more.
Is this what legendary power looks like? Even eating is so… intense.
Inif wasn’t really hungry anymore; watching someone eat was far more entertaining.
It’s like how some people don’t enjoy playing video games themselves but love watching others play.
Eating was whatever, but watching someone else dive into food was hilarious.
Soon, Yuliya quickly and efficiently wiped out all the food, then patted her little belly.
“Too happy! Coming here was definitely the right choice!”
“Alright, alright, finish up and let’s go back,” Inif said, stepping forward to pull Yuliya away.
During their little meal, Inif noticed many eyes focusing on them.
It couldn’t be helped; they were just too noticeable.
Since the academy hadn’t fully opened yet, the dining hall wasn’t that crowded.
With her striking golden hair and young age, Yuliya was already a sight to behold.
And with her constantly going back and forth, it was hard for anyone in the dining hall to ignore her.
A lot of people were even counting how many times she carried the plates.
In the end, it was 17 times.
If all the food she carried was piled together, it would be half her size!
How on earth did she manage to eat all that?!
Yet, no one dared approach—they just gawked from a distance, occasionally glancing at Inif across from Yuliya.
Inif had a bit of a reputation in the academy and wasn’t someone to mess with.
However, some individuals were absolutely fearless.
Just as Inif lifted two empty plates, ready to escort Yuliya away, a voice suddenly piped up.
“Hey, is this little sister a new student? What a cute kid!”
Hands suddenly reached out, seemingly trying to snag Yuliya, but she dodged just in time.
Turning her gaze, Yuliya spotted the voice’s owner, a red-haired girl.
She towered over Yuliya but was a tad shorter than Inif.
The girl squatted down and eyed Yuliya: “Hehe, still a bit shy, huh? What’s your name?”
Yuliya ignored her and glanced up at Inif.
Inif frowned. “It’s very rude to disturb others. Don’t you have any manners?”
“Oh, so you know the ice princess! I want to get to know her too.”
“Rude guy! Let’s go, don’t bother with her,” Inif said, pulling Yuliya away.
Yuliya followed along.
Though she was a bit curious about the term “ice princess,” she thought it wasn’t the right moment to ask.
However, as they reached the door, the voice came again from behind.
“Looks like the little sister is Inif’s friend or maybe her roommate?”
“Whichever it is, I’d suggest you stay away from her. But then again, given her personality, most people wouldn’t last long with her. You’re welcome to find me anytime; my name is Finis.”
Yuliya turned to sh**t a glance at Finis before continuing to leave with Inif.
Once outside, Yuliya finally asked Inif, “That person didn’t seem to get along with you very well?”
“…”
Inif fell silent for a moment before letting out a sigh. “I won’t hide it from you; most students in the academy don’t really get along with me.”
“Ah…”
“You heard her call me ice princess, right?” Inif chuckled bitterly. “I don’t like that nickname, but I can’t deny it. I hardly associate with others and am on guard around everyone. With my blue hair, it just kind of happened over time.”
“Oh, I see…”
Yuliya nodded, fully understanding Inif’s predicament.
Inif carried a heavy burden and had to watch out for hidden threats.
Shutting herself off was the best protective strategy.
But protection can also be a shackle; in seeking safety, she lost many things.
“That’s your choice; just walk your own path steadfastly.”
“Yeah, thanks. Besides, I’m fine now that Riya is with me; I really don’t care about the rest.”
“Uh… Although I get what you mean about safety, I think you could say that a bit clearer.”
This conversation felt a little off.
“Is that so?”
Inif smiled.
That smile felt even more strange!
Mainly because right now, Yuliya was a little neurotic and overly sensitive.
“Ahem! But I think that girl named Finis seems to have some hostility towards you.”
If it were just about being unapproachable, it would at most be indifference—no need for hostility.

The two returned to the dorm and opened the door.

They entered the living room and sure enough, besides their two doors, the third door had a mark—a cat head!
By the way, Inif’s room was simply marked with a “1.”
And Yuliya’s door next to Inif’s still didn’t have a mark yet.
Thinking for a moment, she reached out, and after a flash of white light, pulled out a small, silly creature.
“Hmm… gotten plumper. How much did you sneak eat this time?!”

Little Li hadn’t snuck—it was openly eating!

“Wow! Is this Riya’s pet? So cute!”
Inif was used to Yuliya casually pulling things out, but still found pulling out a pet a bit surprising.
“It’s my friend named Little Li. Want to give it a pet?”
“Little Li…” Inif murmured, ready to try it out.
But just as she reached out, she suddenly froze, pulling her hand back.
Wait… this isn’t a pet; it’s a monster!
The instant she reached, she felt an enormous pressure.
With a slap, Yuliya smacked Little Li on the head, dispersing the pressure.
“Little Li! Don’t scare people!”
“Guh…”
After a moment, Yuliya waved her hand and pulled out a piece of cake. “Here, this is for you from Inif. I have one too; let’s split it.”
Little Li licked its tongue, eyes lighting up, and swallowed it whole in one bite.
“Now that should be fine. Inif, do you want to pet it?”

If she remembered correctly, that cake was probably from the cafeteria.
Split it… huh?
But she didn’t dwell on it, reaching out, ru-ua!
The fluffy feel was amazing—way better than any pet she’d seen before.
Just then, “Click!” The sound of a door opening echoed.
Both turned to see a girl with cat ears peeking in.
A cat person? She looked a bit familiar…
Yuliya tilted her head.
Next moment, the door burst open, and a figure dashed in at lightning speed, arms wide open.
