After wandering to a less crowded spot, Elvin turned around with a smile and asked, “What does Lady Riya require of me?”
“I’d like to declare first that I’m doing serious work, something completely permissible in the academy and through official channels,” Yuliya said, crossing her arms and silently staring at him.
“Oh come on, Lady Riya, don’t be so serious. It’s a legitimate matter, but we know it can sometimes hassle our classmates. So, we can offer some appropriate assistance. What do you need?”
“Anything I want?”
“Within reason.”
“Well then,” Yuliya chuckled, “I want to join the Feihua News Agency.”
“Wait, what?!”
Elvin was completely taken aback by the sudden turn of events.
He thought she was going to come drop a heavy request, but this is just… weird.
“You’re sure about this?”
“Absolutely sure.”
Elvin pondered for a moment and asked, “If you’ve got any news or information, you can actually submit it through our formal channels.”
“I want to JOIN!”
Now Elvin was really confused.
“Why though?”
You’re coming to me, not demanding compensation, but instead offering… yourself?
Is this a giveaway, like a free sample?!
Yuliya suddenly raised her voice cheerfully, “Senior, you don’t understand! I’ve been interested in news since I was little! I aspire to be a journalist who uncovers the world’s truths and exposes hidden darkness!”

“So, can I join now?”
“Sure.”
“Can you take me to the headquarters of the news agency?”
Elvin nodded slowly but quickly stopped himself.
Something about today felt a bit off, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
Cautiously, he took out a piece of paper and a pen.
He drew up a form in no time.
“Here, fill this out. Just to clarify, once you’ve filled it, you’re officially a member of the Feihua News Agency.”
“Hmm? Don’t we need to notify the president first?”
“I have the authority too.”
Yuliya took the form and filled it out in a flash.
Looking at the completely filled-out form, Elvin’s mind was still swirling.
Everything today felt so surreal, it didn’t feel real at all!

“Nope, none. You’re officially in the agency now. We can work together!”
“Yay! Senior!” Yuliya cheered, thought for a second, and then shouted again, “Senpai, please take care of me!”
“Wonderful! Let’s go!”
That cheer was music to his ears.
Elvin led Yuliya to the Teleportation Array with a spring in his step.
Meanwhile, behind him, Yuliya narrowed her eyes.
Senpai, you really should “teach” me a lot.
I know this job is tough, but since you’ve been working hard, why not work a bit harder?
I can’t just be a newbie doing the light work, can I?

As Elvin turned back to explain something to Yuliya, her bright smile returned as she nodded eagerly.
Elvin took Yuliya through the Teleportation Array to the student activity area.
All the clubs are gathered here, including the infamous Secret Reading Club.
But this area is still quite large, with tons of various clubs and many floors that used to be occupied but are now empty.
Yuliya followed Elvin around, zigzagging through hidden paths, eventually arriving at a small hidden building.
“I can’t believe it’s in a place like this! Normal people would never find it.”

Then, she saw Elvin walk toward the stairway… next to a little door.
Inside was a staircase leading down.
Elvin chuckled, “Ha, down here is where the real magic happens.”
Yuliya thought, “So this is the underground party now?”
“Up here, it’s been here for ages. I heard from the president that it was previously used for some alchemical research, then it blew up.”
“Blew up? Isn’t that a danger zone? How on Earth do you guys still hang out here?”
“The explosion underground has nothing to do with us.”
Yuliya followed him inside.
The underground looked pretty normal, just piled high with lots of papers everywhere.
“We’re in luck, the president’s here.” Elvin suddenly shouted, “President! I brought in a newbie! She’s that ‘Outstanding Freshman’, Yuliya!”
At the sound of his voice, several doors creaked open with heads poking out to see.
But the only door that didn’t opened erupted with a shout, “Who? Who did you bring in?”
“It’s that Lady Riya I reported on last time!”
“Are you out of your mind?! Or did getting punched last time damage your brain? You’re seriously recruiting someone like her?!”
