Hello, I’m a beginner author, Tonghuchujonmat.
To be honest, even while writing this review, it doesn’t feel that real. I’ve been writing this story almost every day since last August, and it had become a part of my daily life, so instead of feeling relieved or refreshed about completing it, I feel more regret and awkwardness.
Is it really okay to finish it like this? Shouldn’t I write a bit more? I can’t even count how many times I’ve thought that.
I guess it’s because this story received so much generous love from you, dear readers. I liked web novels, and when I heard there was a new challenge at Nobelpia, I thought, why not give it a try? And thus, this humble story began.
Then, I completely forgot to apply for the new challenge, but surprisingly, I ranked among the top for a beginner author, and I enjoyed writing every day. I still remember the excitement when the comments first exceeded 100. I had replied to half of them, though, haha.
As I kept writing, a lot happened. In my impulsiveness, I compared my work to other ranked pieces, groaned about the days when views or recommendations dropped, and obsessed over the gradual income coming in. Looking back, I’m quite embarrassed by it all.
Especially since I was posting daily without any backup, there were many impulsive and on-the-fly aspects in terms of development and foreshadowing. It was also a problem that after the midpoint, hardly any academy story elements emerged despite having the Academy tag!
However, those experiences helped me reach the conclusion, and I could wrap it up thanks to the readers who kept following along.
I digress. What I think readers will be most curious about is the side story.
I do have a rough idea for the side story, but it’s not that substantial. I might finish it by March, though, ㅠㅠ
The stories after completion, episodes by heroine, comedy episodes, and even another adventure of Namgoong Min are all in mind for now. As for whether Jisoo is the heroine, I’ll have to think seriously about that!
Although the side story will be short, I’ve almost completed plans for the next work, so once the side story is done, I should be able to start serialization right away. Likewise, it seems I’ll be going with a genre like (the protagonist only) low-power scheming mastermind?
I learned so much from this work.
To the readers who followed me to the end, despite its shortcomings.
To the readers who pointed out my rookie spelling mistakes.
To the readers who corrected strange parts in the development or content.
To the readers who seriously discussed who the true love interest is.
To the readers who empathized with our protagonist, Namgoong Min.
And to the readers who are reading this author’s note.
I extend my deepest gratitude.
Thank you!
A growing, though still lacking, author.
Sincerely, Tonghuchujonmat.
