I’m Really Not Trying to Be Chased by the Heroine as the Villainous Playboy! – Chapter 184

Chapter 37: Campus Bullying

The Magic Academy had a more relaxed schedule, and after lunch, students still had plenty of time to rest.

After finishing their meal, students trickled out of the cafeteria, lazily dispersing around the academy.

Alice and Nia were among them.

Neither of them had a habit of taking a nap, so usually at this time, they would head back to the classroom together to play cards, read a bit, and pass the time. But today was different.

Nia suddenly came to a halt, a pained expression on her face as she clutched her stomach.

“I have something very important to do. It’s a matter of life and death—super urgent.”

Alice sighed in resignation, “Go ahead.”

“Sorry, I’ll be right back!”

Nia awkwardly dashed back to the cafeteria in search of the restroom, leaving Alice waiting at the door for her.

Meanwhile, Yana’s subordinates, who had been tailing her, finally found their moment.

“Alice! You’re Alice, right?!”

A plain-looking girl rushed through the crowd, anxiously calling out to Alice.

“Roy is in trouble! You need to go check on him!”

In that moment, Alice felt her heart tremble violently, her mind going blank; she barely had time to think before she found herself following the girl.

However, they weren’t headed towards Roy’s classroom or residence but rather to an empty grove next to the training grounds.

Students occasionally came here to cool off and relax, but today, it was eerily quiet.

There stood a formidable woman with long golden hair, accompanied by six solemn-looking guards.

Before Alice could ask what was going on, the girl who led her there turned and bolted.

Even the slowest among them understood: Alice had been set up.

“Alice, right? The ‘Angel of Bathing Light,’ this year’s cutest campus flower. You do have a nice face, I’ll give you that.”

Even though Yana was smiling, Alice felt an inexplicable stinging in her chest from her brown eyes, filled with hostility.

The six guards silently shifted their stance, blocking her escape route.

Alice discreetly confirmed their positions while coldly replying, “If this isn’t related to my master, I must take my leave.”

“Don’t be in a hurry; I’m looking for you because it is related to Roy.”

With a casual wave of her hand, Yana signaled one of her guards, who tossed over a bag of coins that spilled golden gleams—clearly full of gold coins.

That was not a small amount. Alice estimated it to be far beyond what an ordinary noble’s child would possess.

Yana arrogantly issued her command: “Take this money and leave Roy Ainbrad.”

Maidens served as maids either out of loyalty from minor nobles or due to poverty.

In Yana’s eyes, the blonde girl before her was undoubtedly the latter.

Especially since the girl wore a dazed expression, it’s clear she had never seen so much money before!

Thinking of that, Yana couldn’t help but laugh, “You think Roy treats you well? Too bad; he wouldn’t even spend this much on you.”

“This money could keep you comfortable for life, buy a villa in the countryside, hire a couple of handsome guys, or maybe some pretty girls. As long as you leave him, it’s all yours!”

If Roy didn’t cherish this little maid much, she’d take away his most treasured possession!

However, Yana never expected that Alice wouldn’t even glance at the pouch of coins; instead, she threw her a disdainful look.

“Sorry, Alice has a master, and that’s enough for me,” the girl said coolly, her words betraying a firm refusal.

Yana’s expression turned slightly serious but soon shifted back to a frivolous smile.

“I see, judging by your pure face, I must have misunderstood. You lowly peasant girls, if it’s not for money, you want to ride the coattails of others, right?”

“You little brat, you match perfectly with that clueless scumbag.”

Her biting sarcasm prompted laughter from the guards.

Alice’s fingers twitched; a flicker of cold light flashed in her previously indifferent eyes.

If they were merely out to bother her, fine. But she couldn’t tolerate anyone insulting Roy.

That harsh mockery took her back to Lord Raymond’s birthday banquet.

Back then, she was too weak, only able to curl up behind her master, trembling, watching him bleed and suffer while she remained powerless.

But now, things were different.

She had ascended to extraordinary and learned to hunt dragons; her relentless training was all for this moment, to make those who belittled her master pay.

“Take back what you said.”

“What?”

“Retract your words and apologize to my master,” Alice coldly glared at the woman before her.

Yet, the marquis’ daughter from the Kingdom of Golden Sands wouldn’t care about a mere maid’s threats.

She met Alice’s gaze, stepped forward, and mockingly said, “What if I don’t?”

In a flash, no one expected Alice would strike out without warning.

Three people had taught Alice how to fight.

One was the seasoned Griffin Knight, Anya. She taught Alice to fight fast, accurately, and fiercely.

The second was the “Iron-Blooded” Marquis, Karl. He taught her that if you fight, you must fight to win, without mercy.

And finally, there was Roy. What he taught her was the simplest, yet the most memorable.

“Remember, when you fight, aim for the face.”

So, without further ado, her sudden punch, quick and precise, with all her strength, smashed squarely into Yana’s arrogant face.

With a ‘thud’ and a short scream, the golden-haired marquis’ daughter stumbled back, clutching her face and bleeding from a crimson nose, glaring back in rage, utterly flustered.

She was also a Sequence 8 Extraordinary Being; more than the pain, she was infuriated that the other dared to actually hit her, and right in the face!

“You—you—you dare hit me?!”

“Not even my father would…”

Before she could finish her sentence, Alice, expressionless, rushed forward and threw another punch.

But this time, the six henchmen finally snapped out of their daze and all lunged at Alice, forcing her to retract her fist and step back.

All six were Sequence 9 Extraordinary Beings; their abilities unleashed in unison.

Alice wouldn’t back down. Even without her sword, she willed a single-handed sword of Holy Light into existence and boldly charged in.

The “Angel” bloodline’s abilities included “Weapon Projection: Light” and “Weapon Specialization: Single.”

The former gave her a weapon projected from Holy Light, ensuring she wasn’t defenceless; the latter served as a low-tier version of “Not Dying in Hand-to-Hand Combat,” allowing Alice to choose a weapon specialization.

Since Roy liked to use swords, Alice chose the same.

The girl raised her blade high, slipping gracefully between the six attackers, her movements elegant as if she was dancing.

Yet that Holy Light blade was anything but gentle.

Each time the blade fell, a powerful shockwave launched her enemies back. In a flurry of six slashes, the guards were sent sprawling, one after another.

But just then, Alice noticed a swift dark shadow out of the corner of her eye.

She quickly drew her sword to defend herself but felt a strike filled with overwhelming force. The shimmering sword dimmed from the blow, and Alice was pushed back, sliding several meters.

It was a vicious whip imbued with crimson mist.

Its wielder was Yana, still clutching her nose.

“Heh, you’ve got some guts! Luckily, I no longer need an excuse. Get ready to die, peasant!”

The whip lashed out, lunging at Alice like a giant serpent baring its fangs.
