Chapter 48: Thoughtfulness
As Roy’s popularity soared, Yana naturally became more despised.
In the end, those students who had been bullied by Yana finally had their chance to vent, one by one standing up to accuse her of her wrongdoings, with even Nia unable to get a word in.
Ultimately, Yana disappeared in tears, lost and forsaken amidst the laughter and derision of the crowd. As for what kind of revenge she would face, that was no longer Roy’s concern.
That was her own doing.
【Reputation +3000】
【Scoundrel Title Cleared】
Seeing himself finally rid of the scoundrel reputation, Roy was so moved he nearly cried.
Here I am, Roy, with good character and healthy relationships; today, I’ve finally cleared my name of the scoundrel tarnish!
As for the reputation points, that was just a delightful bonus.
Now Roy was close to two ten-times draws, and his urge to gamble was growing stronger.
The lottery items were mostly one-time consumables, and for Roy, who had a hoarding habit, having as many as possible was never too much.
To celebrate the commotion Yana had brought to an end, Roy specially invited his friends over for a small gathering.
Besides Nia, there was Choco, Vanilla, and Nia’s two best friends.
The catgirls had helped him run errands, so they deserved a reward. As for Nia’s two friends, Roy wanted Alice to make more friends her age.
Surrounded by the warm fireplace, everyone gathered in the house, and the girls’ laughter and chatter made the small wooden cabin lively.
At first, Roy worried whether Alice could keep up with preparing meals for so many people. Fortunately, the other girls were just as capable and rushed to the kitchen to help.
Roy ended up sitting on the sofa, watching the busy chefs—it wasn’t like he could cook!
He wasn’t exactly alone either.
“By the way, why aren’t you helping?” Roy turned to the green-haired girl sitting cross-legged.
Nia had changed into a light outfit, wearing a short black tank top that revealed her soft, fair belly, and denim shorts, along with her usual white over-the-knee stockings.
The way she sat made her lovely legs in white stockings look even more appealing, like a clump of cotton all squeezed together.
Holding a plate of fruit, Nia took a bite of an apple, squinting her eyes in sweetness. After swallowing, she wiped her shiny lips and said mumbled, “I’m just too good, I’d only interfere with their skills.”
Roy saw right through her nonsense and sweat-dropped, “You can’t possibly not know how to cook, right?”
Nia confidently smirked, “I at least can make three dishes!”
“Boiling rice and noodles count as two dishes?”
“You know me!”
Roy thought for a moment and asked, “So what’s the last dish?”
The girl turned her head, waggling a finger, and seriously said, “Boiling water!”
Roy rolled his eyes on the spot.
Wow, this was the first time he heard someone count boiling water as a dish!
It was a good thing she liked adventure; with those cooking skills, wouldn’t she starve to death in the wild?
Nia seemed quite pleased with Roy’s reaction, laughing hilariously.
During this vigorous shaking, her thin top was subjected to the soft impact of her chest, overly ample and shining white.
Wow, that was huge!
Roy had no idea where to look.
“By the way, maybe pay a bit more attention, huh?” Roy coughed awkwardly.
“Attention to what?” Nia was quick-witted, momentarily stunned before peeking at Roy’s embarrassed face and instantly got it.
But instead of toning it down, she tilted her head, grinning mischievously.
“Oh dear, so lewd. Be careful or I might tell Alice!”
“Hey!”
“Hahaha, just kidding! Actually, I’m wearing pasties, so no need to worry!” Nia waved her hand, not caring much.
Unlike the other conservatively dressed elven girls, Nia preferred cooler, trendier outfits and held a more open mindset.
It really would be a waste to wrap her curvaceous figure in thick, simple long skirts.
But Roy still thought it was a bit overboard.
Didn’t Nia in the original story seem less defenseless around guys? In fact, she seemed quite uncomfortable with boys peeking at her.
The boy was baffled.
Thanks to the efforts of the cooks, a sumptuous dinner was laid out on the table.
Once seated, Roy realized he was the only guy among six girls, which made him feel somewhat out of place.
Initially, Amy and Vanilla were a bit shy, and Alice was the type who wouldn’t speak unless spoken to.
However, with Nia and Choco’s energy leading the way, the atmosphere at the table quickly became lively.
Especially when someone brought a sweet, low-alcohol honey wine that smelled wonderful, adding a few ice cubes would make it even more refreshing, which the girls really liked.
Only Alice was too young, so Roy didn’t let her drink.
Nia, on the other hand, had quite a bit—better to say, she was showing off her eating skills.
Unlike Alice’s delicate savoring of food, Nia was devouring her meal, her eyes nearly sparkling with delight. Every bite was full of satisfaction and happiness, making it look delicious just watching her eat.
Curiously, Nia’s belly was still pretty slim, which puzzled Roy; how could she fit so much food in there?
With mostly girls present, Roy couldn’t find a chance to join the conversation and silently focused on his meal.
Until suddenly, Nia’s mouth mentioned his name.
“By the way, it’s such a shame you all missed out!”
“You have no idea how cool Roy was back then~” Nia praised with her words, but her sparkling green eyes conveyed a teasing nature.
Everyone got interested and began asking about what had happened.
Listening to them discuss his feats, especially with Nia painting a vivid picture, her storytelling immersive as if a bard was putting on a performance—just short of a lute for background music!
But for Roy, it felt somewhat embarrassing, like his cringe-worthy past was being publicly executed by family.
“…….In the end, that Douglas guy looked as defeated as if he lost five million and finally bowed to Roy, admitting that Roy won! As for Yana, well, you all know that.”
“Young master is amazing, meow!” “I never knew young master was so good at negotiating!”
“Facing that Douglas without breaking a sweat—should I say it’s no wonder he’s a sworn knight?” “Especially when he revealed his trump card, that was so cool!”
Beside her, Alice took a small sip of tea, proud of her master’s performance: “For the master, that’s only natural.”
Feeling the enthusiastic gazes of the girls, Roy awkwardly shifted his gaze away.
“It’s nothing, I just did what I had to do.”
“Stop being modest, just accept the praise,” Nia said with her chin in her hand, smiling brightly.
“If I were you, I would have been strutting around with pride!”
Her cheerful voice held recognition and joy, and beneath her green hair, the girl’s charming smile felt like a warm spring breeze—bright and vibrant.
Roy felt a mix of helplessness and warmth.
This girl, could it be she noticed he couldn’t join the conversation and was purposely turning the topic to himself?
