I’m Really Not Trying to Be Chased by the Heroine as the Villainous Playboy! – Chapter 404

Chapter 111: Senior, Long Time No See

Roy led the adventurers straight into the barrier.

In the courtyard, the black mages had already engaged in a chaotic battle with the defensive forces of the Purple Magic Academy.

Among the Purple Magic Academy, there were lucid purple mages, as well as monsters that had long since fallen due to the power of cultists.

The originally tranquil and beautiful front courtyard, bursting with vibrant colors, had turned into a river of blood, strewn with fragments and bright red hues. There was no semblance of formation left; it was pure mayhem.

If it weren’t for the distinctly bright purple and black robes, Roy wouldn’t be able to tell friend from foe in an instant.

Strange, he thought. Normally, breaking the barrier should lower the morale of these guys. The monsters he understood, but why were the other purple mages still holding their ground? Roy felt something was off.

It’s worth mentioning that the mages had stated before that those who surrendered would be treated leniently. After all, a large academy like this couldn’t have everyone colluding with cultists.

Currently, the number of defending purple mages was far too many, rendering the black mages unable to break through for the time being.

But Roy didn’t have the time to ponder.

The absence of the brown-haired girl in the crowd meant she had already dashed inside.

With the strength of a mid-tier extraordinary being, she couldn’t entirely ignore the tactics of a mass battle, but low-tier foes couldn’t possibly stop her.

“Stay here and help them!”

The adventurers obeyed beyond expectations, grabbing their weapons and joining the fray.

Roy took this opportunity to slip away, diving into the enemy ranks looking for the figure he sought.

After swiftly dispatching a few rotten corpses that came too close, Roy spotted the striking purple hair and yanked the struggling vice president, who was engaged in a fierce clash with a purple mage, to the side.

“Ah! Help me, help me, I’m captured… boo hoo!”

Roy was startled by her scream and promptly covered her mouth, saying, “I’m Roy!”

Kreya paused, stopping her struggle.

Seeing this, Roy finally released her, secretly sighing in relief.

He definitely didn’t want to become the target of attacks from misunderstood black mages…

“Y-you’re not here to help the president, are you?!” Kreya’s eyes sparkled, looking all perked up.

“Something like that. Where has she gone?”

The Cassandra Family Mansion also served as the headquarters for the Purple Magic Academy, its scale so massive that Roy couldn’t gauge the direction at a glance.

Kreya pointed to the right side of the mansion. “That way! I heard there’s a hidden path over there!”

Roy was about to turn when Kreya spoke up again.

“Um… thank you for coming to help the president.”

“The president will definitely be happy to see you.”

Roy gave a shallow hum in response, his lips curling in a helpless pout.

Of course, she would be happy—she got a free helper who could also entertain her.

But the next sentence left Roy completely dumbfounded.

“The president has always been thinking about you!”

Roy froze in place, feeling as if the surrounding chaos melted into silence, his mind going blank.

——————————————

“So that’s how it is. Although they have some power, they are no match for true cultists.”

In a training hall within the Cassandra Family Mansion, the brown-haired witch lifted the corners of her bloodstained lips into a cruel smile.

She reached out as several entities—some wrapped in stinking vegetation, others draped in misshapen scales, dangling in midair from the shadows of a massive green serpent—hung there, barely clinging to life.

Before her, a purple mage, nearly unrecognizable due to corrosive toxins, lay incapacitated on the ground, terror written all over their face.

“Spare me…”

“I’m not colluding with cultists! I was forced!”

Leanna sighed lightly, slightly bothered. “Didn’t you just say you’d spare my life if I did this or that? It’s kind of boring if you back down so quickly.”

Ignoring her pain-wracked body, the purple mage grovelled before Leanna, flattering her, “I know who you are. You came to save Lisana Cassandra, right? She’s in the auditorium behind the mansion. I can lead you there…”

“Good boy, doesn’t sound like you’re lying,” Leanna smiled slightly.

Before the purple mage could breathe a sigh of relief, the heels of her dark high-heeled shoes suddenly stomped onto their face.

Even as blood flowed from their head, they dared not display a hint of displeasure, still forcing a smile.

Leanna gazed into the purple mage’s eyes, a seductive glint flashing within. “Has the layout of the mansion changed significantly over the years?”

The purple mage blurted, “No…!”

“Then you’re of no use to me.”

“No! Wait, please…!”

The free snake head dropped with a thud, consuming half of the purple mage’s body.

Leanna sneered as she raised her hand and squeezed tightly.

With the sickening sound of bones cracking, several broken bodies slammed down, and the previously swaying serpent was instantly drenched in a shower of blood.

Colluding with cultists? She didn’t care one bit.

She recognized the purple mage—a figure she hadn’t remembered clearly. But she recalled that they were a follower of Dia, one of those who betrayed the Cassandra Family and led to her father’s death years ago.

After extracting the location of her mother, Leanna stepped out once more.

She was certain her mother had been manipulated by Dia’s means, her mind fogged.

But the Academy of Magic might not see it that way. And in the midst of this chaos, they wouldn’t care about her mother’s safety. If someone were to take her mother hostage, it would be disastrous.

So she had to act first and rescue her mother.

As for Dia, she assumed there were enough experts from the Academy to deal with him, and he wouldn’t escape death.

While it was a bit disappointing not to finish him off herself, her mother’s safety was far more important.

With this thought, Leanna was about to leave the room when she suddenly felt a chill at the back of her neck.

“Die… DIE FOR ME!!!”

The purple mage, halved and nearly unrecognizable, suddenly swelled into a fuzzy plant ball, erupting with a corrupted aura.

“This is what you call not colluding with cultists?”

Leanna spun around, immediately summoning Hydra to defend her, but seeing the opponent’s extraordinary aura expand to its limit, she knew it was about to explode in the next second.

There was no time.

Tsk, next time she would turn these things to dust instead.

Leanna gritted her teeth, prepared to withstand the oncoming strike.

But in the next moment, a scarlet longsword pierced through the fluffy plant ball.

The purple mage let out a weak cry and then shriveled down into dust.

“Dealing with these guys just with brute force isn’t enough; it’s best to keep your wits about you.”

A familiar voice floated over.

Leanna looked up, glancing at the figure in dark elf robes—the Sword Demon—and her beautiful eyes widened involuntarily.

“Roy?”

The Sword Demon removed her hood, revealing the familiar face, one she had been yearning for: “Senior, long time no see.”
