Chapter 154: Everyone Stop It
Looking at the smiling black-dressed witch, Alice gripped her sword tightly, feeling a bit unsure.
“She’ll take your master away just like the evil witch in ‘Cinderella’? Even then, are you okay with that?” — The elven girl’s advice echoed in Alice’s mind, the very reason for her mission.
Of course, she didn’t want her master to be taken away.
Unlike Charlotte and Nia, who could always find their place close to their master, Leanna had brought their master to a place out of her reach, doing all sorts of things she couldn’t see.
But if her master willingly knelt at the witch’s skirts just like the young master in ‘Cinderella’, then what was the point of her actions?
As a maid, it was natural to adhere to her master’s wishes.
Naturally.
On one side was her desire to prevent her master from being taken away, and on the other, the ironclad rule a maid must follow. The conflict between the two was so sharp that it threw Alice into chaos.
And the witch saw it all.
The witch was best at playing with people’s hearts.
Leanna had long seen through the cold facade of the little maid, recognizing a heart as pure as white paper.
She was too innocent.
So innocent that others could easily color her however they wished.
Leanna stepped forward: “What’s wrong? Unsure of what to do?”
“Stop!” Alice raised her sword abruptly.
However, Leanna treated the glaring sword blade as if it were invisible: “Are you sure you want to make a move against me?”
The straight sword tip trembled.
Leanna smiled slightly, leisurely extending her fingertip to press down on the steel sword.
Then, she frivolously tilted Alice’s chin.
The witch’s purple eyes glimmered with a sinister, snake-like allure, and in that gaze, Alice trembled like a golden-haired puppy caught in a snake’s embrace, feeling anxious and lost.
Leanna stared into those blue eyes full of confusion and inner turmoil, grinning as she leaned in and whispered softly, “Feeling painful, huh? Confused, right? Torn, I see?”
“I understand, you don’t know what to do but feel you must do something.”
“But you don’t want Roy to dislike you, right?”
Alice didn’t respond but trembled slightly, as if being shocked by electricity.
Leanna squinted her eyes: “In that case, let me tell you the answer.”
“Be a good child and tell Princess and the elven descendant not to disturb us tonight. That’s Roy’s wish, and that’s what you should do.”
Alice’s eyes gradually lost focus.
Be a good child.
As a maid, she should fulfill her master’s wishes.
The steel long sword slowly fell, and the girl bowed her head.
That holy yet terrifying aura gradually receded, and at last, Leanna satisfactorily raised her lips, passing by the little maid unharmed.
She had finally dealt with all the obstacles.
No one would disturb her tonight.
However, watching the brown-haired girl step deeper into the villa, the golden-haired girl’s losing focus eyes slowly began to sharpen once more.
Fear burned in her heart like a flame.
In the past, she had always stayed by her master’s side. Just being near him, witnessing his happiness, satisfied her.
But now, Alice had a vague premonition.
Leanna would smile and snuggle up to him in places she couldn’t see, and then, in a world that belonged only to them, share a kiss sealing their fate.
If she didn’t stop Leanna, she might truly lose her master completely — without even the right to observe.
The flame of fear blazed higher, until finally, Alice felt some string in her heart snap.
As a maid, it was only natural to uphold her master’s wishes.
Naturally—
But even if it meant being a bad kid, she didn’t want to watch her master be taken away like the maid in ‘Cinderella’ and do nothing!
The sound of the sword rang clear, and the Holy Light burst forth.
The crescent-shaped Holy Light slash quickly swept past, taking a strand of hair from Leanna.
Then, thick tropical vegetation crumbled.
Leanna turned to look over her shoulder, her voice turning impatient: “Miss Alice, what does this mean?”
“Do you want to go against Roy’s wishes?”
Facing the same question, Alice raised her sword, pain flickering in her eyes, but she coldly replied: “You don’t get to decide my master’s wishes.”
“I want to see my master in person.”
Alice’s aura shifted.
No longer ethereal and lost, she stood like a seasoned swordsman, her gaze firm and sharp, like a fearless hunting dog with a single purpose.
At that moment, Leanna finally felt a hint of chill from the sword in Alice’s hand.
Seeing she couldn’t persuade her, Alice no longer argued, coldly delivering her final ultimatum: “Bring my master back!”
“Bring my master back!”
Leanna’s smile finally darkened.
“[Your] master?”
“Hmm, finally woke up, huh…”
The witch raised her head, releasing a chilling aura like a snake poised to strike: “If you want to take him back, let’s see you try.”
The snarling serpent body swept down upon the night sky like a storm, its bizarre roar rumbling through the world.
Hydra revealed its fangs, glaring down at the golden-haired girl, exuding the crushing pressure as if the sky was collapsing, forcing her to brace her sword to avoid being blown away in one hit.
There was indeed a deep chasm between Sequence 6 and Sequence 7.
Leanna sneered mercilessly: “Don’t get too full of yourself, maid. Right now, you’re not even my opponent.”
Alice struggled under the heavy pressure, gasping for air, her face showing unwillingness.
Even using Seraph, she couldn’t bridge the gap between low-tier and mid-tier.
But just then, a crimson meteor fell from the night sky.
The golden-red griffon, carrying the red-haired princess, descended with a furious roar.
Charlotte’s hair was in disarray, panting heavily, looking somewhat shabby, but her aura remained fierce and unyielding as she proudly asked, “What if I join in?!”
At the same time, the wall crumbled.
The dual-bladed elven girl, appearing in a flash of lightning, materialized with grace.
Nia’s clothes were disheveled, sweat glistened on her skin, even her face tinged with redness, looking even more scruffy than Charlotte.
Yet the typically cheerful girl oddly tilted her head, her expression grim.
“And I’m here too.”
“Ha, ha, today’s humiliation, I will repay a hundredfold!”
Watching the three exceptionally talented girls encircle her like a triangle, Leanna’s expression turned ugly.
The purple eyes darkened, Leanna’s smile hollowed, and her brown hair billowed under the overwhelming aura. She deeply covered her face, resembling a witch more than ever.
“One after another, one after another, all coming to ruin my good plans…”
“Just because you’ve known Roy a bit longer, you’ve stood in my way! Don’t go overboard!”
The roaring Hydra responded to its master’s fury, crashing down like a tidal wave.
In contrast, the dazzling sword light pierced the night, while scarlet flames twisted and exploded, and the swift wind blades crossed.
The terrifying extraordinary fluctuations intertwined like a hurricane, ravaging the surroundings, causing no one to dare come to their aid.
But just when everything seemed irreversible, a furious roar, accompanied by an invisible pressure from the heavens, resounded through the night, shattering everything.
“Everyone stop it!”
