Chapter 162: I Want a Kiss! Can’t Wait!
Leaving the balcony, I returned to the hallway.
The red-and-white haired girl exchanged glances, neither warm nor cold.
Compared to when I first arrived in Quiet Wind City, Charlotte’s eyes held a hint less of hostility and dissatisfaction, while Xue Nuo had softened her previously frigid gaze. It was like two beast kings recognizing each other’s existence—neither particularly friendly, but with a bit more respect.
“Tonight, no one will disturb you and Roy.”
Nia and Leanna said nothing, tacitly agreeing to the decision.
A brief silence lingered until Charlotte brushed past, prompting Xue Nuo to softly say, “Thank you.”
“Don’t get it twisted; I’m not helping you! Just as Roy’s actions prove his feelings for us, yours prove your feelings for him. This is merely what you deserve.”
After expressing her sulky acknowledgment, Charlotte waved her hand impatiently, “What are you still doing here? Go find him, don’t keep him waiting!”
“Okay.”
The silver-haired girl, no longer hesitating, quickly set off toward the boy.
Snowflakes danced in the air, doing nothing to hinder her eagerness.
Watching the black-haired boy and silver-haired girl snuggling in the snowy night, Charlotte’s taut expression suddenly twitched, as if she’d just been slapped in the face with a lemon.
While the notion was clear-cut, seeing her crush with another girl still made Charlotte’s heart burn with anxiety.
Let’s just consider it the grace and aftertaste of being the main wife.
Xue Nuo Androvers, you will not get another chance like this!
“I didn’t expect you, flat-chested as you are, to be so generous at times.”
Just as Charlotte was simmering with resentment, the elven girl mocked her, getting an immediate glare in return. “What do you know? This is called composure!”
“Uh-huh? But who was just a moment ago a pitiful sight, about to cry?” Leanna chimed in with a teasing remark.
“Are you both seriously not bothered by Roy cuddling with Xue Nuo?! And you still have the nerve to call me out?!”
In a fit of rage, Charlotte landed a crushing blow that left both of them silent.
Facing the scene of the boy and girl wrapped up in each other beneath the falling snow, the three of them sighed simultaneously, their playful banter abruptly halted.
The logic was simple.
Charlotte’s words echoed their collective sentiment—after being together for so long, Xue Nuo’s addition was simply welcoming another member into their circle.
As long as she didn’t go crazy trying to monopolize Roy, everything would be fine.
Confirming that Xue Nuo harbored no such dangerous thoughts and that Roy genuinely cared for her, Nia and Leanna had already silently approved their relationship deep down.
But nobody really had any special quirks in their tastes; just witnessing this scene made them feel a sour ache in their heads, and they couldn’t stay even a second longer.
“Let’s not make fools of ourselves here,” Leanna suggested with a sigh.
“Yeah, let’s scram,” Nia reluctantly agreed, almost as if they were being suffocated.
Roy would likely have a lot to talk about with Xue Nuo tonight, enjoying their private moments. Since they couldn’t just insert themselves into it, there was no need to stay and watch what they didn’t want to see.
The three girls left together, unaware that the silent little maid hadn’t followed them.
————————
“Charlotte really is a nice girl,” Xue Nuo reflected, gazing at the night sky, remembering that fiery, straightforward girl. It was a rare moment of feeling slightly inferior: “No wonder you like her.”
“That’s true… but Xue Nuo-sensei is also a good girl.”
Watching the silver-haired beauty bathed in snowflakes, which only accentuated her allure, Roy unabashedly confessed, “Just like I like Charlotte, I also like you, Xue Nuo-sensei.”
“…Shocking. I never noticed before—you’re quite good with your words, huh?” Xue Nuo’s brow twitched, slightly flustered as she avoided Roy’s gaze, muttering in mild annoyance.
“That depends on who I’m facing.”
“Back then, Xue Nuo-sensei was just my teacher; I couldn’t exactly be disrespectful, could I?”
“But now…”
The boy hesitated, an ambiguous smile playing on his lips as he stared intently, sending Xue Nuo’s heart racing, making her feel completely destabilized.
Like a snow wolf trapped in a hunter’s trap, she felt cornered.
Yet, strangely enough, she didn’t dislike this feeling.
Just then, a snowflake landed on the tip of Roy’s nose.
Xue Nuo lifted her head, her delicate finger gently brushing the snowflake away from his nose.
Her face appeared snowy and beautiful, with a hint of blush blooming, yet she maintained her usual cool charm.
“I can allow you not to be so respectful.”
“!”
The faint blush on her face and her somewhat awkward gaze clearly indicated that Xue Nuo was still adapting to such intimacy with the opposite sex.
But as the saying goes, sincerity is the ultimate weapon.
Such heartfelt words made Roy’s heart race uncontrollably.
Roy bravely took her arm. She stiffened for a moment before quickly relaxing, pressing her slender form closer, allowing their warmth to meld.
The faint scent of blue roses and her slightly thin lips were so tempting.
But Roy held back his urge to disrespect his teacher and earnestly asked, “Xue Nuo-sensei, are you sure?”
“Are you sure you don’t mind them being with me?”
Xue Nuo was older than Charlotte and the others, and her conservative nature affected by the Empire made her quite reserved. The previous student-teacher relationship had her worried for a long time.
In the eyes of the world, such a relationship was quite impure, presenting a considerable challenge to her values.
To ensure stability in their future relationship, Roy needed to clarify things.
“I won’t treat any of them poorly, which means I don’t belong to just you.”
“I know.” Despite trying to maintain calm on the outside, the corners of Xue Nuo’s eyes trembled and a flicker of bitterness glided through her gaze.
“But if it’s you, I don’t mind.”
“An extraordinarily elevated princess, a known innocent elven descendant, and that witch who usually toys with others and looks down on men… are they just casual girls?”
“If they can do it, why can’t I?”
Xue Nuo exhaled softly, determination gleamed in her crystal-clear, captivating eyes, solidifying the image of the boy within.
“My feelings for you will not be less than for any of them.”
Roy’s last worries vanished completely.
What remained was an overwhelming wave of happiness accumulating to the max.
Suddenly, Roy reached out, boldly brushing aside Xue Nuo’s silver hair, cradling her face with utmost seriousness, “Xue Nuo-sensei, saying things like this will only make me want to kiss you.”
“R-Right now?”
Xue Nuo rarely found herself flustered, almost in a daze.
“Right now! Not a moment longer!”
“W-Wait…!”
Though her expression showed panic, when the boy leaned in, the silver-haired beauty instinctively responded with an eager, shy kiss.
