Chapter 101: Bet and You Lose, Year of Legs
Charlotte still couldn’t let go and spat out awkwardly, “Who wants to play this boring game with you?”
“Are you afraid?”
“?”
“If you’re afraid, then forget it. I wouldn’t want to make it difficult for her Highness the Princess.”
Taking the teacup pushed forward by Roy, Charlotte raised an eyebrow, determination igniting in her eyes as she grinned nonchalantly, “Alright then.”
“I’ll reluctantly play with you,” she said.
“Anyway, I’m going to win.”
“You should just obediently stay down there and serve me.”
Confident Charlotte didn’t notice the intriguing smile curling at the corner of the boy’s mouth.
The dragon war had yet to touch the inner Red Castle, and the open courtyard garden remained unscathed from the corrosive acid rain and flames.
It was springtime, with flowers in full bloom. The colorful flora swayed in the warm afternoon breeze, sending forth delightful fragrances, painting a picture of tranquil days.
A sweet little strawberry cake, a cup of red tea blended with a bit of crushed strawberries—like any noble girl who loved afternoon tea, Charlotte adored this leisurely and elegant time.
However, even the most delightful afternoon tea couldn’t remedy her restlessness today.
Flowers, pastries, red tea—everything lost its allure as Charlotte’s eyes kept wandering sideways.
Meanwhile, Roy was enjoying the tasty treats with tea, occasionally teasing a bird that had appeared out of nowhere, looking relaxed and content.
But the more he relaxed, the more anxious Charlotte became.
What’s up with him today? He should usually be leaning over to me by now.
“Ahem.”
“What’s wrong?” Roy asked, bewildered.
“Isn’t it obvious, that…”
Before Charlotte could even mumble out loud, Roy chuckled knowingly, “Didn’t we agree to restrain ourselves? Giving up so soon!”
“!”
Charlotte froze.
“Who’s giving up? I can totally hold it together, okay!”
“But a little closeness wouldn’t hurt…”
Twisting a strand of hair, her gaze drifting, the girl’s true sentiment was becoming way too obvious.
Just as Roy anticipated.
The patience of her Highness the Princess wasn’t much better than that of a certain little angel; she just never admitted it!
Roy held back a laugh, pretending to struggle, “But we said we’d restrain ourselves. If we get too close, I’m afraid you might lose control again, just like that night…”
“Ah, shut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up! A little closeness doesn’t count! I can declare it doesn’t count!”
Flustered, Charlotte banged the table, temporarily changing the rules.
But that was also entirely within Roy’s expectations!
“Fine, it’s your call.”
Before Charlotte could celebrate her momentary victory, she froze.
Because Roy suddenly pulled her in, holding her slender waist as if cradling a kitten, facing her directly.
“You…”
The nation’s top griffin knight, who had battled ice dragons in the sky without flinching, found her cheeks flushed and speech stuttered under the boy’s grip.
Roy hardly used any strength; escaping would have been easy, but breaking free from his warm, solid embrace was harder for Charlotte than slaying a dragon.
She hung her head, looking at him with a mix of resentment: “You… don’t you understand what ‘a little’ means?”
Roy shrugged, “This is just a little.”
“Or are you saying Charlotte is about to lose control and admit defeat?”
“You…”
Seeing Charlotte’s teeth gritted in anger yet still dutifully nestling against him, Roy felt unusually pleased.
Gotcha!
There’s a trick to playing with cats.
First, act aloof, then suddenly strike; the little red kitty might pout, but her cuddly, soft body is always honest!
But Roy forgot that this little red kitty wouldn’t be easy prey.
Am I not the princess of a nation? Do you really think you can toy with me? Just because I’m not roaring doesn’t mean I’m your little pet?!
Charlotte took a deep breath, steadied herself against his chest, then suddenly looked up with a fierce determination.
“!”
In a flash, she launched a swift surprise attack, planting a kiss right on Roy’s lips, filling him with a mix of strawberry, red tea, and gardenia fragrance, sinking his heart into chaos.
Even as he tried to maintain an indifferent facade, Charlotte felt the sudden quickening of his pulse against her chest, realizing his wavering resolve.
Her face turned as red as a strawberry, her breath quickening, nearly losing control herself—it was a case of self-sabotage!
But a victory, however messy, was still a victory; the little red kitty looked up triumphantly, “Hmph, you think this is hard to handle? You’re not that great!”
“Little fish~”
“?!”
Roy couldn’t hold back his competitive streak anymore upon hearing the trigger word. Why say anything else? Alright, I’m gonna teach you a lesson!
Roy stealthily lowered his hands.
Under her red skirt, those legs wrapped in black over-the-knee stockings were not only beautifully shaped but also felt smooth like satin woven from flower petals.
Charlotte shrank back, her gaze trembling. The proud expression on her face was slowly breaking as a flush of humiliation crept in.
“What… what are you suddenly doing?”
“Just a little touch; that shouldn’t be too much, right?”
“That also counts as a little? Let go of me…”
Roy squinted his eyes with mischief and whispered seductively, “If you give in now, who’s the little fish?”
Charlotte fell silent.
Pouting defiantly, the proud princess clearly accepted the challenge.
And Roy, naturally, was all for it.
Perhaps it was because of her royal upbringing or the warm, nurturing nature of her fiery bloodline. When it came to feel, Charlotte’s skin was among the finest of all girls, and the most tempting part that teased was those lovely legs.
Slim yet toned, like a sublime work of art, especially how those dark stockings contrasted with her fair thighs, creating a visual feast. It was not only pleasing to the eye but also impossible to resist when touched.
With varying pressures, sometimes light, sometimes firm, sometimes up, sometimes down, sometimes in, sometimes out, she moved like a cute little red cat in his hands—sometimes tense, sometimes relaxed, sometimes looking up, sometimes falling back, showcasing different poses in his embrace.
“Wait, wait, you can’t…”
“Charlotte, do you know what it means to play with legs for a year?”
“What the…?” Charlotte looked completely confused.
“Pretty legs that you’d never tire of playing with for a year. Charlotte’s legs are just that beautiful!” Roy complimented sincerely.
“You… don’t go overboard!”
Shamed and furious, a spark ignited in Charlotte’s eyes; she finally activated her hunting mode!
She opened her mouth, showing her fangs, and bit down on Roy’s shoulder!
Roy yelped in pain.
The teacup crashed, red tea spilled, and both of them tumbled awkwardly to the ground.
With a show of strength, Charlotte pinned Roy down, resembling an angry lion, ripping at his clothes.
“You’ve gone too far! Playing with legs, huh? Who’s playing with whom isn’t so certain…”
“Hey, hey, hey, no fighting! Did you forget our agreement? Whoever breaks the rules first has to serve below!”
Taking advantage of Charlotte’s momentary pause, Roy swiftly seized her approaching hands, glaring back fiercely, sporting a victorious smile, “Charlotte, we agreed to play by the rules; you can’t be unreasonable!”
