Chapter 108: The Final Showdown
The sky was clear, with birds singing and flowers blooming.
This weather was perfect for a warm tea party with girls.
On the left was the elegant princess holding red tea, and on the right was the holy and composed saintess, enjoying pastries. Even their every smile and frown was the epitome of ladylike grace, a beauty that could overshadow any noble girl, resembling a masterpiece that could last through the ages.
But thinking about how the two girls were at night, Roy could only chuckle, not daring to compliment them.
Charlotte was basically a man-eating lion at night; even if you pushed her down, that cherry-red mouth wouldn’t back down until she was completely exhausted and drooling.
Alice was no easy catch either. Don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you, at night she seemed possessed by a succubus, pure yet teasing, her words dragging on endlessly.
To avoid drawing attention from the two, Roy could only silently munch on pastries, pretending he didn’t exist.
“Our White Harbor Saintess looks pretty good lately; seems your guards are taking good care of you.”
“Your Highness is joking. It’s your face that has been rosy; even your figure—uh, your figure seems to be unchanged.”
As soon as they opened their mouths, the air was thick with tension.
Charlotte’s face twitched at the painful poke, her gentle veneer slipping as she crossed her beautiful legs, displaying her arrogance.
“Just say what you mean, Alice.”
“Inviting me for tea doesn’t mean you want to concede, does it? Oh, I heard that our destined Saintess was so worn out after a few prayer events that she couldn’t get out of bed… haha, how pathetic.”
Alice was momentarily taken aback.
To her, it felt like being struck by lightning.
But soon, she responded with cold eyes, retorting in kind, “Unfortunately, Alice is more than capable; as long as the Master desires, I can satisfy him anytime, any number of times.”
“On the contrary, Charlotte, haven’t you heard? The maids in the castle are gossiping about the cries for mercy coming from your room.” Alice tilted her head, feigning surprise. “Turns out, even you aren’t always so proud.”
The teacup trembled and fell, while a vein popped on Charlotte’s forehead, her hair almost igniting with rage.
“What a joke! Me begging for mercy? There’s a limit to how ridiculous you can be!”
“Likewise, Alice is far from her limit; she could keep going!”
Meanwhile, Roy, the instigator, transformed into a snack machine, completely ignoring the escalating topic.
Were these two girls competing over something?
At this point, Roy didn’t expect them to become good friends again.
But you two can compete and fuss all you want; just don’t drag me into it!
I understand you both are capable, but I can’t keep up, okay?!
At first, Roy was worried that his iron body might tire them out, but now he realized he was too naive.
One had the explosive power of the Lionheart bloodline, and the other could continuously recover energy using the Holy Light. Both of them were incredibly capable, so there was no need for him to worry!
Instead, it was him who was feeling worn out after a night of indulgence followed by a night of tender intimacy.
Honestly, Roy would have preferred if they just settled it with a fight like before!
“Alice doesn’t understand; can your body really please the Master?”
“Hah, just because you’ve got a little extra fluff doesn’t mean you can be so cocky. Roy doesn’t like that kind of thing.”
“Anyone can say it; action speaks louder than words.”
“What, am I supposed to be scared of you?”
The tension between the two girls was so thick it could spark fire in the air, and as they grew increasingly heated, with a vibe that hinted they might just strip and wrestle him right there, Roy couldn’t eat another pastry.
“Cough, cough!”
Roy knocked on the table hard, instantly interrupting their quarrel.
With a deep swallow of pastry, he looked back and forth at the two girls and finally vented, “I don’t know what you’re arguing about, but it’s been half a month; isn’t it time to settle this?!”
“Are you fighting over figures? Or over beauty? Either way, it’s time to determine a winner, right?!”
Roy almost blurted out that they might as well just fight it out.
Doused with cold water, both girls calmed down a bit.
Who would be the better companion for his nightly escapades? Even the utterly clueless Alice wouldn’t dare to voice such an embarrassing question; whoever said it first would be the real loser.
Charlotte and Alice knew full well that Roy wouldn’t play favorites, and in the end, it would always be a conclusion of “everyone is equally important.”
But that’s precisely why they insisted on this victory.
The instincts of the body wouldn’t deceive; even if their feelings were equal, it was clear who could satisfy Roy’s bodily needs more!
However, they had to admit they had underestimated their opponents.
Every time Roy came out of the castle, he wore a confident and accomplished expression, while his demeanor returning from the church was filled with lingering satisfaction and refreshment.
Even though he was right there beside them, the signs of him reminiscing about last night’s escapades were impossible to hide!
This left the two girls, who thought they had everything under control, feeling as sour as if they had just been hit with lemonade.
Thus, the long tug-of-war continued.
But now even Roy himself was getting restless, and they clearly could not go on like this.
Forget Roy; even the fierce Charlotte and the Holy Light-empowered Alice were starting to falter after half a month of indulgence.
Finally, Charlotte said, “Since even Roy has said so, let’s settle this once and for all next time.”
With a finger pointed, Charlotte declared war on Alice, loudly proclaiming, “Let’s take a day off today, and tomorrow night, let’s have a decisive battle in front of Roy. How about it?!”
Under the fierce gaze of the Lionheart princess, Alice showed no fear, coldly responding, “As you wish, I’ll accompany you to the end!”
Though Roy had no clue what their version of victory meant, upon hearing they were finally going to settle things, he couldn’t help but clap, feeling relieved that the painful yet pleasurable days of the past half-month were coming to an end.
Hallelujah, sweet relief!
At least tonight, he could sleep soundly.
————————
For the first time in half a month, tonight was going to be a night alone for Roy. Despite having the Blood Clan’s [Sleepless] benefit, he still dozed off as soon as his head hit the pillow.
However, the rooms of the two girls were brightly lit throughout the night.
Inside the red castle, Charlotte personally welcomed Chuck into her room, setting out red tea and pastries, treating her with respect.
“Chuck, you know that aside from Roy, you’re the one I trust most in our faction.”
“So, can I ask you a few questions?”
It would make even ordinary nobles anxious to be invited alone by the princess, unsure of her intentions.
But Chuck wasn’t ordinary.
Seeing the table full of pastries made her remaining intelligence vanish completely, turning her into a domesticated kitten.
“Ask away, Your Highness! I’ll help however I can!”
Charlotte smiled knowingly, her eyes glinting sharply.
“I have a friend who wants to know, what kind of girl does Roy actually like?”
