The NTR Hero Knelt Before the Demon King – Chapter 2

The moment I heard the words commanding me to retreat, I didn’t even look back and just bolted away, leaving behind the warrior of the Hero Party… no, the Porter, who had fallen into the trickery of those scoundrels attempting to take advantage of a naïve person.

To be honest, I held a simple wish to see those scoundrels getting thoroughly crushed by the Demon King’s subordinates, but unfortunately, such a desire was utterly unattainable.

Even if the combat power of the Demon King’s aides wasn’t weak, it was still not enough to defeat those scoundrels.

Ultimately, at the end of the original story, the Demon King, who was already at a disadvantage in battle against the Hero, ended up being overwhelmed by other party members who joined in after the aides were taken down.

And this disparity in strength urged me to make decisions like this, to quickly confirm this battle as our ‘defeat’ before it dragged on and turned into an uncontrollable situation when the Demon King’s aides lost.

As a result, I purposely offered one of my arms to the Demon King and lost, without exchanging more than just a few blows.

Immediately after my defeat, I urged those scoundrels, who were now engulfed in heavy bewilderment over my loss, to flee, and they retreated as expected, misjudging the Demon King’s strength and barely engaging in a proper fight.

And then…

After mocking those who had tried to use me and then failed, I couldn’t endure the unimaginable pain and fainted.

I could only hope that this last gamble I took would succeed…

The Hero, who had lost an arm to his sword.

However, witnessing this, the Demon King’s heart was filled not with the joy of victory, but with deep perplexity.

In the moment he had crossed swords with this man, the Demon King became certain.

This guy’s power was stronger than any foe he had faced.

This strongest enemy, known as the Hero, was someone even he couldn’t defeat.

Yet, even as these thoughts crossed his mind, as he swung his sword with full power in his duty…

Before his eyes, an unforeseen scene began to unfold.

At this moment, where a life-and-death struggle had only just begun.

With what seemed like a joyful smile on his lips, that man willingly surrendered his arm in a state of vulnerability…

The figure of the Hero.

An utterly incomprehensible scene from the Demon King’s perspective.

But, the Demon King’s sword had already swung and severed the Hero’s arm, causing him to scream and collapse onto the floor.

Immediately after, the Hero, while declaring to his teammates that he was not a foe they could defeat, instructed them to flee.

This sent the Demon King into another shock, and just as the warrior members of the Hero Party took off, he was left alone, gazing at the bleeding Hero before him, asking:

“Why?…”

“…Ha… Haha… Ah….”

The Hero only let out a hollow laugh in response to the question.

Then, overwhelmed by severe blood loss and pain, he collapsed to the ground.

Watching him, the Demon King’s heart was filled with even more profound questions.

‘What on earth is this? Why would he do something like this? What’s going through this guy’s mind…?’

The fact that the Hero Party was an incredibly strong adversary was already understood.

Thus, the Demon King had chosen to evacuate everyone living in the Demon King’s Castle, bringing only himself and his direct subordinates to confront the enemies head-on.

And finally, when the enemies appeared before them, having steeled themselves for the final showdown,

The Demon King, seated on his throne, could only feel despair.

The harsh reality visible to the Demon King, who possessed the ability to gauge the enemy’s strength, was that the number matched exactly with his aides but was accompanied by a level of strength superior to his own.

And it was also the intense aura of the Hero’s might, which could possibly surpass even his own.

Although he couldn’t dampen the morale of his subordinates who had resolved to put their lives on the line in this no retreat situation, the Demon King had no choice but to keep this fact hidden.

Yet, even before the battle began, the Demon King had to acknowledge.

That for them, victory was already impossible…

That the strongest power of the Demon Races, including himself, would be annihilated today,

By the strongest force of the Racial Alliance, the Hero Party.

However, the Demon King’s expectations were shattered in an entirely unforeseen manner.

The Hero fell to his own sword, and his companions made a hasty retreat.

An incomprehensible victory gained in a war that seemed certain to end in defeat.

Caught in thick confusion, the Demon King could only stare at the fainted Hero, while his subordinates erupted in cheers of victory.

“Long live Your Majesty, the Demon King!”

“We won!”

“The Demon King has taken down the enemy commander!”

“Ugh…”

Slowly, I began to open my eyes within a haze of fatigue.

What greeted me was the hard sensation of a bed.

And from my shoulder, which appeared to have been roughly treated, I felt a throbbing pain that came from the hastily wrapped bandages.

‘Fortunately, it seems they managed to reattach my arm… but I’m definitely not in great shape.’

It was not a complete recovery, just basic first aid.

Nevertheless, thanks to whatever magic was used, I would likely recover if given time, though it would probably be impossible to use this arm for a while.

However, even with this situation, I felt a profound sense of relief, acknowledging that I had at least overcome the most significant hurdle.

‘Thank goodness, honestly, I was worried I’d get my head chopped off on the spot, but that didn’t happen…’

What lay before my eyes was a steel door with a magic seal on it.

From this, I could instantly tell that I was in a prison.

But nevertheless, the fact that they had tended to my injuries to this extent suggested to me that they did not intend to execute me right away.

Of course, if the Demon King was as perverse as my imagination took him to be—someone who enjoyed healing and then torturing before killing—then I’d have no argument.

‘Still, it seems the original story ended pretty neatly… I can only hope nothing like that happens…’

As I felt a mix of relief yet a thread of anxiety about what might occur, it happened.

-Clank!

“Huh?”

The steel door suddenly began to creak open.

I immediately tensed up, staring at the figure entering through the door.

In that moment, what came into view was…

A woman… No, more precisely, a Demon Race Woman.

With magnificent horns like enormous jewels glistening in the dark, her alabaster skin and golden eyes sparkled like gems.

Her long, lustrous purple hair cascaded down like a waterfall, accentuated by her alluring red lips, embodying a blend of grace and maturity akin to that of a goddess.

And through the black dress that hugged her curvaceous figure, her flawless physique was unmistakably revealed.

The moment I beheld her, I felt my cheeks naturally grow warm.

Even though it was our first encounter, her appearance was captivating enough to hook my heart.

In such a situation, it was truly frivolous to think about, but honestly speaking, the beauty before me was so stunning that even the women from the Hero Party seemed second-rate in comparison.

However, as I was lost in thoughts of her beauty for a moment,

I quickly composed myself, trying to remain calm amidst the urgency of the situation.

‘Who is this person…? She doesn’t seem like a typical Demon Race…’

It was said that the power and authority of the Demon Races were manifested through the horns on their heads.

In that respect, her grand and impressive horns marked her as someone of high rank within the Demon Races.

Her appearance here might very well signify that my fate was now in her hands.

As I braced myself with deep tension, preparing my best response to her upcoming question, she spoke.

“Are you awake? If so, I would like to hear the answer to the question I asked earlier.”

“…Huh?”

The Demon Race Woman looked at me, sharing an unknown inquiry.

In that moment, I found myself unable to comprehend her words, momentarily wearing a dazed expression.
