While Yujin was measuring her bench press, Seong-an approached the dumbbell rack, having noticed something unusual.
“Hm?”
“What’s up?”
“…I was wondering if the dumbbells she was grunting with earlier are these.”
The dumbbell weighed 30kg.
It was hard to believe that Yujin could lift such an unimaginable weight.
Naturally, Jae-min, who was nearby, shook his head.
“Come on, there’s no way someone can lift more than half their body weight with one hand. No way is she some monster like Ji-hoon.”
“…Right?”
That made sense.
Even if she usually bundled herself up in a hoodie, Yujin’s arms looked too skinny to have any muscle.
Seong-an made a strange face and casually lifted the 30kg dumbbell.
“Are you crazy?!”
However, the 30kg dumbbell was certainly heavier than something a gamer who only plays games at home could handle.
Thud!
He almost dislocated his arm.
While Seong-an struggled, the chat lit up.
– Whoa!
– What was that noise?
– I heard something break.
“…Sorry! It was a mistake.”
…Why is this so heavy?
She seriously lifted this?
With just one hand?
Seong-an’s mind was in chaos.
*
Ji-hoon spoke up.
“…You might be running out of energy, so let’s call it a day for bench press.”
“Oh really? I thought I was fine… but if you say so.”
So, the bench press record for my three main lifts was set at 45kg.
Honestly, I felt like I could lift more… but I decided to go with the expert’s advice since today wasn’t the only day to do this.
I couldn’t quite gauge how much weight I was lifting, but judging from the audience’s reaction, I had a rough idea.
– Are you kidding me?
– Is this for real or fake?
– Seriously, I can’t lift more than this, haha!
– She even lifted it effortlessly, I bet she could add another 10kg for sure!
– I’m really dying over here…
– A woman benching 45kg, wow!
– But seriously, that’s totally impressive!
– If she slapped me on the back, I’d probably burst!
– Hahaha, what the hell?!
The measurements continued.
Next up was the deadlift.
“Deadlifts essentially use the leverage principle. So for someone around 160cm tall, a shorter lever means a longer range of motion is better.”
“So what do I do?”
“Think of it as an upper back exercise, not a lower back one. Grab the bar just a bit wider than shoulder-width… like this.”
As Ji-hoon approached to help me with my stance, the chat went wild.
– ?
– Heuuu… heuuu… heuuu… heuuu…
– Woah!
– What’s happening?!
– Are they going to get together?
– Should I open it?
– Huh?
– Dude… Why am I so nervous?
– Should I open it?
– Huh?
“Shut up, everyone.”
Ignoring the chaos in the chat, I lifted the 20kg barbell casually.
Hmm, that was easy.
Slowly, the weight increased.
30kg, 40kg, 50kg, 60kg…
As the weight kept going up, Ji-hoon interjected.
“…Let’s stop here for today. Isn’t it hard for you?”
“Not really? The dumbbell from earlier was the hardest.”
For some reason, Seong-an, who was nearby, flinched at that.
Thus, my deadlift record was set at 60kg.
I could’ve lifted more, but like the bench press, I chose to heed the expert’s opinion.
I didn’t want to risk injury by overdoing it.
– Is this real?!
– A fitness genius?! Whoa!
– Are you on steroids or something?!
– Haha, seriously!
– For real, a drug test is necessary!
– Steroid! Steroid! Steroid! Steroid! Steroid! Steroid!
– Stop with the nonsense, you idiots!
The last exercise, the squat, was next.
“Have you ever done this?”
“No.”
“Then we’ll start with 20kg.”
Following Ji-hoon’s explanation, I got into position and slowly began my first squat.
Not surprisingly, 20kg was pretty easy.
“I’m going to increase the weight.”
Again, the weight went up without a hitch.
30kg, 40kg, 50kg, 55kg…
And then to 60kg.
“…I think we’ll stop here. Have you really never worked out before?”
“Nope, never.”
“You seem to have some talent.”
“Really?”
Of course, Ji-hoon’s measure of talent was based on an average woman, but still, it felt nice to hear he thought I had talent.
Better than having no talent, right?
Anyway, my three major lifts were complete.
Bench press: 45kg.
Deadlift: 60kg.
Squat: 60kg.
Total: 165kg.
Meaning I accidentally became a talent with a 3-lift total of 165 right from the start.
Of course, the chat went wild.
– Whoa!
– Seriously, raise your hand if you can’t lift more than the Outlaw, haha!
– Hand up!
– For real, lol!
– Feet!
– Hand!
– Hand!
– Hahahaha!
Although this content was intended to get our team members to work out, the positive reactions weren’t so bad.
Not that there weren’t negative reactions.
– But seriously, not a drop of sweat, huh?
– For real.
– Why aren’t you sweating? What the hell?
– Let’s do some cardio!
– Cardio is where it’s at, right?!
– Let’s go running!
You think I’d do that?
No way.
“You all might want to see more, but sadly, it’s time for the other players. My workout video will continue another time!”
– No way!
– Me!
– Me!
– Me!
– Me!
Even though the ‘Nahakdan’ showed up, I didn’t mind and continued with the content.
“So, who’s next?”
I glanced at my teammates.
Yeon-woo with a nervous look.
Seong-an with an odd expression.
Jae-min eager to show off.
The answer seemed obvious.
“So, Jaem-min, wanna go?”
“Yes, yes!”
“Okay. Let’s go right away.”
And then…
Whether it was due to my motivation or just his personality, Jae-min ignored Ji-hoon’s warning and went for a 60kg bench press attempt.
“…If you can’t do it, just say so.”
“Come on, I can do this! I’ll show you what real physicality is.”
Not long after Jae-min boasted, a desperate scream burst from his mouth.
“AHHHHHHHHH!”
– Hahahaha!
– So funny!
– He’s gonna hurt himself!
– Why’s he showing off?! Hahaha!
– Classic Jaem-min…
– Never disappoints, haha!
“Ah! Tap! Tap! Help me, please!”
Thus Jae-min’s attempt at benching 60kg ended in failure, and he immediately conceded defeat from exhaustion.
“I… can’t do it anymore! I’m done!”
“…Sigh.”
Yeon-woo and Seong-an both completed their three major lifts without any issues.
Of course, Yeon-woo’s measurements stirred up the chat like crazy.
– Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor! Honor!
– Look at that little lady’s physique, wow!
– Women can do big things!
– Chill out, you idiots, hahaha!
– Little sister’s beauty is stunning, whoa!
– Wow, the sweat…
And so the peaceful workout content began to draw to a close.
All things considered, the original goal of getting the team to work out was achieved, so isn’t that a good thing?
“Are we doing this tomorrow too?”
At my words, my teammates’ faces turned pale.
Of course, there was no room for refusal.

The second round of Legends of League Challengers Korea officially began.
Fortunately, our team didn’t have a match on the first day of the second round, giving us the luxury to keep an eye on the ban/pick of other teams.
The first match was BLH vs BGG.
They were teams we had relatively easily defeated before, but still, they were not to be underestimated.
This is the world of pros.
There were no easy opponents.
“Are you going to watch the game too?”
Seong-an was slumped on the sofa in front of the TV, the scent of a pain relief patch emanating from him.
It seemed that yesterday’s workout had taken a toll.
“Yeah, I think it’s good to keep an eye on them.”
Seong-an and Ji-hoon were the only ones who religiously followed the matches of other teams.
Some might find it surprising that Ji-hoon watches other teams, but surprisingly, he plays other teams’ matches instead of music when he’s on the treadmill.
I recently found that out.
“Who do you think will win?”
“Right now, I’d say BLH… but the meta has changed so the team that adapts quicker will likely win.”
“That’s true.”
BLH was in the blue side, BGG in red.
“Renekton gets banned?”
“Looks like it.”
Renekton had recently received a significant nerf on his W skill from a patch, but it had been rolled back again, which likely influenced the ban against him.
Regardless, champions like Renekton and Twisted Fate still had high tiers due to their certain crowd control abilities.
And then, the ban/pick phase concluded.
