A skirmish erupted in the bottom lane before the minions even arrived.
There, Jaem-min’s Jinx displayed a quick response, and OLZ countered fiercely, causing the commentators’ voices to rise in exclamation.
“Jaem-min! No way you dodge that from that distance?!!”
“Too slow. Jaem-min’s player just moved like that! How did he dodge an ambush from the brush so easily?!”
“Of course, it was a play they’d anticipated to some extent, but… Jaem-min’s reaction was just awesome! He literally dodged Lux’s ultimate!”
“And that’s not all. Just look at Caitlyn right now! She’s not getting any CS or experience! Look at Protein’s Karuma zoning her out!”
“Aaaaah! Of all times for this to happen before the minions arrive… Bottom’s completely wrecked now?!”
– Wow, lol
– Wow
– This is it
– LMAO! LMAO! LMAO! LMAO! LMAO! LMAO! LMAO! LMAO! LMAO!
– Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut!
– You called them bugs? What’s the problem? Haha
– Bug cut was insane!
– This is what ADC looks like
– 15 minutes surrender, let’s go
– Boom!
As the chat exploded with reactions, the replay began.
[“Not working.”]
[“Starting with Lux.”]
“Haha! It was definitely a play to be confident about. Not working!”
“That’s right! It’s really something that a rookie player can have this kind of confidence… Anyway, that confidence led to good results!”
– So cool
– I can’t believe it
– Meanwhile, look at Protein staying calm haha, seems like he has no emotions at all
– No? Did you not see Protein’s interview? He’s full of emotions
– For real haha
From the start, the gap in the bottom lane between both teams widened dramatically.
Lux, who used Flash and then died.
That meant Caitlyn couldn’t even get experience, falling behind in levels.
Jinx, who got the kill.
OLZ’s bottom lane was ahead in levels.
Considering all the circumstances, it was clear there was no other way to put it but that it was blown up.
“Ah… at this rate, FFF will ultimately have to rely on their top side again.”
“I want to shout ‘Akali do it, Jarvan do it, Gwen do it,’ but… the problem is OLZ’s top side isn’t something to be taken lightly!”
“That’s right! Especially with Outlaw, but Honor has annihilated all the so-called top challengers! Plus, Getback is exactly the Getback we already knew!”
“In a way, he’s a player who centers the team well. Since OLZ except for Getback is filled with rookies, the fact that there are no rookie mistakes or miscalculations makes it even better, right?!”
“Exactly! A player like Getback could be classified as an anti-carry type? He doesn’t stand out much, but he certainly does his part quietly!”
– Packaged masters lol
– Bus back
– But honestly, Getback might feel good despite this being said haha
– Riding the bus is facts
– Too sweet
As the commentators said.
Just because FFF’s bottom lane was blown up, there was little hope to rely on the top side because the opponents were too strong.
Above all, the important fact is that Legends of League is a game with interconnected lanes.
What that means is simple.
Since the bottom lane exploded, Jarvan’s path had to be forced to cover the bottom.
And nobody was unaware of what it meant when a jungler showed gaps against Outlaw.
“Ah, Jarvan has no choice but to go cover bottom now?”
“In the meantime, Outlaw’s Xin Zhao seems to head to top as if he knows everything!”
“This doesn’t look good for Gwen’s health management?! She could get dived!”
“Honor was using Gragas’s unique sustain to manage the lane well!”
The Gragas vs. Gwen matchup is a typical sword vs. shield battle.
Just like most sword and shield battles, if the sword can’t break through the shield, they tend to fall short in terms of teamfight damage, so Gwen has to break through Gragas.
Certainly, that should have been the case, but Ogi’s Gwen was being pressured in the lane by Honor’s Gragas.
Because Honor smartly utilized his sustain to dominate the lane.
And the price for that was about to be paid by the approaching Xin Zhao.
“Right now, top, we have to watch top!”
“Can she survive? Especially since she didn’t use Flash!”
“If she can take someone down with Ignite, it might not be too bad, but… we’ll have to see!”
OLZ was calm.
Neither too hasty nor too slow.
They just waited for the enemy Gwen to use W first and burn a turn.
“Gwen used W!”
“If that’s the case…”
The commentators sighed.
And as if waiting for the moment, Outlaw’s Xin Zhao charged in.
Having already hit two minions and reloaded, Gwen was instantly airborn.
And then came Gragas’s follow-up.
– Enemy eliminated!
A clean dive.
Gwen managed to ignite Xin Zhao in a last-ditch effort, but Xin Zhao easily escaped the turret using Flash.
“Well, it ended up like this!”
“It’s truly… well, Ogi’s perspective, that dive was obvious, but it’s not like you can avoid it either. If you ignore the wave coming in, you’re still doomed.”
“That’s right. At a time like this, Ogi might want to shout about the jungle difference… but the fact is Jarvan being stuck at bottom is due to the bottom difference.”
“That wording might be a bit harsh, but… it really is a situation where the difference is substantial. FFF!”
– Jungle difference was insane haha
– Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw! Outlaw!
– OLZ really is top-side lol
– Outlaw vs. Jaem-min carry duel
– Isn’t the game over already?
– Seriously, why do teams challenging OLZ blow up before 10 minutes? It feels like the tier difference is just too much
– Agreed
– Let’s hurry up to part 1, it’s starting to get boring
– Agreed, agreed
*
The solo kill in bottom lane.
Successful top dive.
The momentum was already leaning in our team’s favor.
Now, we just needed to do what we wanted.
And then we would win.
“Let’s check the Dragon. Support, keep an eye out for me.”
[“Yes.”]
– The blue team has slain the Fire Dragon!
The first Dragon was seized without a hitch,
as the opponents had already crumbled too much in the bottom lane to resist.
And then came the expected sequence.
The control in the bottom lane meant that the supporter was now free to move,
which indicated control over the first Rift Herald spawn at 8 minutes.
[“Looks like they are just giving this up.”]
“Okay. Then Jaem-min just keep farming.”
[“Alright!”]
Had it been a usual FFF, they would have made a bold move here,
but they couldn’t muster that due to how broken their setup was.
– The blue team has slain the Rift Herald!
‘Now, where do I use this…….’
When using the Herald, there are a few considerations to make.
1. Is it during a time when the turret shield is still up?
2. Can we take it down when using the Herald?
3. Is it the mid first turret?
Thus, usually, I preferred to use the Herald at the top first turret.
This was mainly because our team had often dominated the lane at top, leading to more favorable situations.
But this game was different.
Looking at the mining situation at bottom and turret health,
it felt like we could easily take it down using the Herald.
[“Oh, are we gonna drop it here?”]
“I usually drop it where we have the advantage.”
[“Huh, it seems like we were always ahead though?”]
“Maybe it was less advantageous than top.”
[“Hmm. Let’s confirm.”]
With that, the Rift Herald made its appearance in bottom,
and before long, the jungle and bottom laners of both teams gathered.
A 3v3 situation had formed.
‘What will they do about it?’
After all, the opponents couldn’t actually come at us.
If they tried to engage, the items and levels already gave the answers.
– The red team’s turret has been destroyed!
“Should we go a bit further? Watch top and mid for me.”
Thanks to Gragas and Kuroki smoothly managing their lanes,
they had both saved their teleports.
Of course, they couldn’t ride on minions anymore, but
they could arrive quickly if they teleported from bottom’s first turret.
[“Confirmed.”]
[“Yes.”]
In fact, using the Herald to hit the second turret wasn’t that crucial,
but for some reason, I wanted to push for more.
Was that it?
“This looks like they are trying to engage.”
Feeling that it was becoming a no-go,
FFF’s laners began to retreat one by one from under the bottom lane.
The moment I saw that, I realized.
That FFF was preparing their last resistance to stake the game.
