There wasn’t really any need for feedback.
It was that overwhelmingly one-sided a match.
“Great job, everyone. Let’s keep it up for the next game.”
“Who’s the POG? It’s me, right? Totally!”
“…Yeah, that’s you.”
“Woohoo!”
“Shut up.”
And just like that, while Kim Jae-min was giddy with excitement, the second match quickly began.
The ban/pick went as follows:
+
[FFF / OLZ]
Top: Akali / Fiora
Jungle: Lee Sin / Diana
Mid: Twisted Fate / Galion
Bot: Lucian / Ezreal
Support: Nami / Leona
+
The game unfolded similarly to the first match.
FFF attempted to create variables through mid to free up the bottom lane, but the differences between the lanes were already clear from the early game, so they got stuck.
The Lucian Nami combo should’ve been pressuring the Ezreal Leona combo, but it turns out it was the opposite.
[“Their TF is coming down.”]
[“Ah, mid diff!”]
[“Looks like they might pull back.”]
When Twisted Fate, who had roamed to the bottom at significant risk, returned to lane empty-handed, Galion had already mined the turret shield.
[“That was good.”]
[“Bot diff.”]
[“Shut up.”]
As the opponent’s plans went awry, it became a one-sided scoring fest for us.
Using resources in Legends of League just meant handing over turn to the enemy.
“Let’s send Galion top as well.”
[“Okay.”]
-First Blood!
-Enemy slain!
Taking down top,
“TF too.”
-Enemy slain!
Taking down mid,
“I’m gonna gank, can Galion ult for me?”
[“Sure.”]
“Cool.”
-A third enemy slain!
They even went for jungle and killed that too.
[“Nice!”]
Meanwhile, up top, Honor with Fiora returned to lane via teleport and even got a solo kill on the opposing Akali, swinging the game’s momentum dramatically.
Dragons,
-Red team took the Wind Dragon!
And Rift Heralds,
-Red team took the Herald of the Rift!
It was basically ours.
“Let’s finish this right away.”
[“Okay.”]
I didn’t want to drag this game out.
Finishing quickly was advantageous as it meant we could prepare for upcoming matches.
“I’ll release the Herald right away.”
[“Sure.”]
The snowball kept rolling without pause.
And,
[Victory]
Riding the victory of the first match, we also secured an easy win in the second.
“Nice.”
“Great job, everyone.”
“Am I the POG for this game too? Ah… what if I end up winning season MVP or something?”
“Dream on. You’re just a spoon.”
“Uh-oh, I think I need to clarify that to all the princes nationwide.”
“I’m a mid-laner, so I’m good.”
“Haha.”
In this relatively cheerful atmosphere, we gathered our things.
I was the POG for the second game.
There was no other choice.
I had to perform well.
Thus, with heavy steps alongside Kim Jae-min, I headed to the commentary desk for the interview.
‘…Of all people, this guy.’
My feet felt heavy, but since it was a nice victory day, I didn’t want to create unnecessary trouble, so I did my best not to show it.
“Whoa, here we are again for an interview.”
Kim Jae-min was bubbling with excitement at finally doing this.
Of course, I was stressed to the max.
“…Just in case, don’t say anything silly during the interview. And obviously, don’t say anything disrespectful to the opponents.”
“Am I a kid?”
“You kind of are.”
“Whoa… I’ll handle it.”
You better handle it, because I’m about to lose it, dude.
‘Sigh…….’
At that moment, a staff member silently gestured for us to come over.
It felt like a beckoning from the Grim Reaper.
“Outlaw and Jaem-min! We’re going for the interview now!”
*
So far, POGs from OLZ have mostly been Outlaw, but that doesn’t mean other teammates have never been chosen.
In fact, top-laner Honor and supporter Protein have stirred quite the buzz just from interviews, so OLZ interviews always grab attention.
And today, for the first time ever, Jaem-min made an appearance.
Though he hadn’t done an interview yet, his performances in matches had raised the audience’s expectations sky-high.
-Wow
-Jaem-min’s the POG?
-OMG OMG OMG OMG
-Broadcast accident in 3 minutes lol
-Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min!
-Whoa, the bug cut’s finally here lol
-Is that the same spoon who only took the bus? Truly, the prince is a legend…
-Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut! Bug cut!
Amid everyone’s anticipation, the interview officially began.
『“Hello! Outlaw and Jaem-min! Great to see you both!”』
『“Yeah, hello.”』
『“Oh, um… hello…….”』
Outlaw spoke confidently as if it was second nature, while Jaem-min seemed uncharacteristically shy.
The audience reacted accordingly, thrilled by the sight.
-Hahaha
-So shy
-Oh lol, even interviews are an experience
-Gotta experience being POG to know
-Why’s Jaem-min so cute?
-Definitely looks like the next idol.
The interview continued.
『“You showcased an incredible performance today. First, in set one, Jaem-min you achieved a pentakill against FFF, how does that feel? It was your first official pentakill.”』
『“Um… feels good.”』
『“Did you know that was the first pentakill in Challengers Korea’s round two?”』
『“Oh, really? No, I didn’t know that.”』
『“Hahaha! Looks like Jaem-min is a bit awkward still.”』
『“Awkward? Nah, not really. Yeah.”』
-Hahaha
-He’s broken lol
-Bumbling around
-So cute hahaha
-Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min! Jaem-min!
『“Now, getting into the game details… In the first set, you faced the bot combo of Caitlyn and Lux, how was that?”』
『“Um… it was easier than usual. Normally Caitlyn and Lux aren’t that easy.”』
-Bug cut!
-Hahaha
-Jaem-min says) FFF bot is totally a bug
-I just cut a bug, you know
-Seriously, lol
『“Aha! So the game went fluently today? Sounds like it. To be honest, FFF bot duo is no walk in the park!”』
『“Nah, it was easy.”』
『“Excuse me?”』
-Hahahahahahaha
-Madman is genuinely surprised
-Cover failed
-Emergency!!!
-Jaem-min) Adding to the list of incidents and controversies
-Wow hahaha
-So funny
-Masterful packaging failure hahaha
『“…Alright then, let’s move on to the second set. Outlaw, you picked the Diana-Galion combo in set two. Was that a pick you had prepared?”』
-Madman gave up, lol
-Just dodging immediately
-Outlaw’s expression stiffened a bit
-True that
-Hahahahaha
-Is this the weight of a franchise owner?
『“Yeah, I try to stay prepared so I can always have champions ready to use.”』
『“I see!”』
The rest of the interview flowed relatively normally.
It seemed like the commentators were feeling some sort of inexplicable tension, as they intentionally asked Jaem-min the bare minimum of questions.
『“So then, thank you both Outlaw and Jaem-min!”』
『“Thank you!”』
Finally, the interview wrapped up, and the cameras captured Outlaw and Jaem-min walking away from the commentators.
Usually, this wouldn’t be a noteworthy scene, but soon enough, Outlaw gave Jaem-min a playful slap on the back, causing the chat to erupt.
-?
-Hahahaha
-Slap lol
-He asked for it
“But still, isn’t this a bit extreme, Outlaw? Isn’t that a bit much?”
-Please chill with the overreaction
-If you ask for a slap, you should get it.
-Haha
-Consider yourself lucky just to get a backslap, dude.
