“…….”
GBP Silroom was at a loss for words.
Was it really such a difficult request for four of us to stop one guy, just like we planned?
What on earth happened for the game to end up like this already?
“Wait, why did Sylas even take Q at level 1….”
[“He was trying to steal the Rift Herald.”]
“No, ugh….”
When things go south, you can’t help but trace back the causes.
This was no different.
If Sylas had taken Q and stolen the Rift Herald, and Hecarim hadn’t hit level 2 early on, the feedback would have been completely different.
But in the end, our Sylas failed to steal the Herald, which weakened our level 1 fighting power, allowing the opposing Hecarim to slip away from the crisis far too easily.
That led to this cascading disaster.
-Our team has suffered!
After Jinx died, it wasn’t long before Tahm Kench followed suit.
It was already a foregone conclusion ever since Jinx got one-shot by Hecarim.
[“Ah… we’re screwed.”]
[“What do we do now?”]
What do you mean, “what do we do”? Just don’t be idiots.
Silroom swallowed the curses rising in his throat and entered the lane.
Graves versus Jason.
In this match-up, it would be fair to say that Jason has to play cautiously. However, once you get into the laning phase, it’s widely accepted that Graves actually has an easier time.
Of course, Jason isn’t a bad champion in the current meta, but it’s true that it will become increasingly hard for him to handle a Graves building for tankiness.
For Silroom, as long as he played the laning phase moderately, it could be a manageable situation.
Yet, that was precisely the trap.
As mentioned earlier, while Graves versus Jason is a match-up where Graves can manage just fine, there’s still a reason Jason is a ADC.
When Honor’s Jason initiated a rough trade, Silroom’s Graves couldn’t avoid trading back.
After all, it was standard to trade once then rely on sustain to manage the lane.
What was supposed to be the end of a trading session, Honor took a step closer.
With a daring Flash and E, he shoved Graves further in.
There were no choices left for Silroom now.
‘…Is the jungler here?’
Silroom first sensed the enemy jungler’s presence.
But logically, it wasn’t the time for the opposing jungler to already be at top lane.
Even so, one suspicion began to grow in Silroom’s mind.
‘Is he digging a tunnel or something?’
What’s going on? Why is he coming in further?
Is he really willing to fight until the end?
As Jason kept coming, Silroom finally couldn’t hold back anymore.
‘You’re crossing a line.’
A battle of auto-attacks ensued with just one auto-attack difference at stake.
However, Silroom was the loser.
Bang!
At the last moment, Jason pulled off an incredible move, hiding between minions and dodging Graves’ auto-attack, delivering the final blow in that brief window.
-You’ve been defeated by the enemy.
Just when he thought he had won, Silroom’s screen faded to gray.
“Ah….”
[“…It’s okay. Let’s keep going.”]
“No, ugh… I should’ve won….”
He was too preoccupied with the enemy jungler.
If he had focused on trading actively from the start, he would have won.
At least that’s what Silroom thought.
[“…Let’s give what we can and play for the long game.”]
A call came from the team that should never have been mentioned.
On the surface, it sounded like they were planning to play for the late game, but in reality, it meant giving up everything they could afford and curling up for warmth.
Just how unfavorable would it be by then?
The current situation for GBP felt as if they were declaring defeat.
Still, Silroom couldn’t say a word.
There really weren’t any other options.
“…Let’s curl up.”
Again, a call that should never have been made came up.
*
“Nice!”
[“Oh, he popped off.”]
[“Did he really get a solo kill?”]
[“Nice.”]
Cheers erupted from the team after the top solo kill.
Even though they didn’t technically need to do anything at top at that moment, Honor’s Jason didn’t waste any opportunity.
Silroom couldn’t stay still either.
“Let’s check top again.”
[“Sure.”]
Graves’ death naturally pushed the minion wave into the enemy turret.
Now that Graves’ teleport was down, if they succeeded in a top dive right now, it would spell doom for Graves.
The respawn time for jungle monsters is 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
After finishing the enemy red, heading to our blue, engaging, returning, and sweeping from the bottom to the top of our blue, I arrived at the top jungle just in time for the jungle monsters to respawn.
After smoothly taking the top Rift Herald and Golems, I ran towards top for the dive.
“Can you push the wave?”
[“Yes.”]
Thanks to the solo kill, there was now a gap between Graves and Jason.
If Jason had a jungler watching his back, there was no reason he couldn’t pressure.
[“Ah, I’m coming too.”]
Getback’s Janna quickly cleared the wave and rushed over.
[“I’ll give you some speed and then head back down.”]
“Okay.”
Janna’s movement speed buff lasts 2.5 seconds.
It’s not a long time, but if I start sprinting right after receiving the buff, I can just barely make it to top on time.
As Janna gave me the buff and bomb, I dashed towards the top.
Janna’s bomb detonates in 3 seconds.
That was more than enough time to reach the top.
“Let’s go right away.”
[“Sure.”]
The crazy horse began to gallop.
Even if Graves is tough, that’s only if he has stacked his E passive and has the tankiness build.
Now that he’s just teleported back in after getting a solo kill, Graves’ usual toughness was nowhere to be felt.
“Let’s take him down!”
[“Okay.”]
Seo Yeon-woo smoothly hit the EQ combo as she approached Graves and shoved a hammer combo right in.
Then, after doing just enough damage, she swiftly backed off, drawing turret aggro while switching positions, and at the same time, Hecarim headbutted Graves.
And that was the end for Graves.
With Jason’s full combo, and a hit from Hecarim, there was simply no way Graves could survive.
-You have slain an enemy!
Just as we took down Graves, the enemy Lee Sin arrived at top a bit too late.
But my health was still full, and Jason was also low but had enough mana, so Lee Sin had no choice but to watch as we fled.
[“Nice.”]
“Good.”
[“That was a sick assist.”]
Of course, the mid lane barely made it back up after a brief absence but suffered some cs and experience loss due to the opposing Sylas’ harassment.
But that was manageable.
With the successful top dive and an assist as Getback said, who could complain?
With that, the game’s balance was completely shattered.
All that was left was to keep doing what we had been doing.
“Let’s go.”

Incidents down at bot.
The dive following the solo kill at top.
With the game practically blown wide open, the commentators were bursting with excitement.
『“Oh no! GBP is in serious trouble right now!”』
『“Right before GBP, the finals are coming into sight… but it’s not just a sight! It’s truly the worst scenario for GBP!”』
『“On the other hand, OLZ has made things far too easy for themselves. They played the enemy’s play against them, and now they can do whatever they want. They can take the dragon, secure the Rift Herald, anything!”』
『“That’s right. GBP has now run out of options. Even the mid-jungle duo, which could still be somewhat intact, is honestly lacking against the enemy Lee Sin and Sylas, which are strong picks for skirmishes.”』
『“I can’t help but wonder if GBP should have looked for fights centered around the mid lane… but now it might be a bit too late.”』
『“Whatever happens, GBP needs to hold on! If they can endure, something good will come, even if it’s not a miracle! Yes!”』
『“As I said before, the current meta isn’t impossible to turn around. Just one, just one significant victory in a fight can lead to a dramatic comeback. Of course, Janna makes that a bit harder….”』
『“Hahaha.”』
The audience’s reactions were no different from the commentators’.
-They just exploded, huh?
-Dead again
-OLZ promotion, I guess
-They’re really going up undefeated ㄷㄷㄷ
-OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!OLZ!
-Where did the guys who were trash-talking about the second division go? LOL
Everyone was convinced OLZ would take it, and it was taken for granted.
It was that extreme a situation.
Naturally, the experts and viewers couldn’t help but wonder one thing.
It had been proven through this promotion matches that OLZ was of a level higher than the second division.
So then, how far can OLZ actually go?
-Red Cup champions, maybe ㄷㄷ
