Your Commander-in-Chief – Chapter 105

Three days had passed since the release of Deron’s new expansion pack, “The Wind of Another Realm.”

Users had started flocking to various community sites to share the information they had gathered, or to ask questions about things they were curious about.

The Deron Online Gallery was one of those community sites.

With the benefits of guaranteed anonymity and no need for registration, it attracted an overwhelming number of visitors compared to other sites.

[What do I use the Suspicious Book for?] [4]

[Is the Gryphon a must? I’m getting nauseous.] [2]

[Why is leveling up so hard in this expansion pack?] [1]

[Everyone, it’s Jupiter. Please read this.]

[Sharing Windwalker travel paths, oho] [42]

[Here’s my character’s artifact.]

[Is this the must-have side quest?]

[Newbies these days have no manners, lol;] [2]

[Warrior dealer recommended up to rank 6.] [12]

[Why can’t I get into an Archer party?]

[When does the resurrection of the Demon Clan happen???] [2]

[A new class for Wizards, the Master, has appeared.] [22]

Numerous questions and information posts flooded in.

Amidst the mountains of posts, it was purely up to users to sift through the gems and stones.

But it wasn’t just information posts that appeared.

Clickbait posts also emerged repeatedly.

[Why isn’t this asshole blocked yet?]

[Why not?]

[Who is Blood Demon King?]

ㄴ[You can find it on page 2 of the thread.]

[I wanna see too, kitty.]

[Something strange appeared in the World Tree’s Resting Place. What is it?] [22]

Today, I cleared the main quest and can see the entire scenario progress with the Elf Queen.

But at the very bottom, there was a continuously rising number for “Possibility of War.”

Does anyone know what that is? Are the Elves going to war?

[The armpits aren’t cut off, huh?]

ㄴ[It’s not that kind of picture.]

[Why is this bastard’s picture like this?]

ㄴ[Don’t like it?]

ㄴ[No, no, no, no.]

[Isn’t there a GIF of this?]

ㄴ[Someone probably has it. I think it was posted once before.]

[These bastards only look at the armpits and don’t answer the question.]

ㄴ[If you progress through the main quest, you’ll see the Elven Elders conflicting, and it seems it depends on which side you align with.]

ㄴ[So if a lot of users align with the “We want war” side, does that mean we really get a war scenario?]

ㄴ[I think so.]

[Is that flowing thing rainwater?]

ㄴ[Definitely sweat.]

ㄴ[Sweat tastes like what?]

ㄴ[Soft & Chewy Cow Guild must be nice. You can see Blood Demon King all the time.]

Convincing the stubborn Elven Elders wasn’t an easy task.

They threw quests at me in their cold manner, reflecting their quirky personalities.

But I couldn’t give up. The possibility of witnessing a large-scale war scenario in the game was enough to ignite a fire in my heart.

I rode my Windwalker diligently, striving to complete the quests.

Every time I accomplished a quest thrown by the Elders, the chance of war count slowly increased.

Of course, the opposite could happen too. I wasn’t aware, but there were alternative routes in the main quest if I didn’t listen to the story properly.

They say there’s a route that leans toward not going to war, which honestly sounded pretty boring to me.

I brought up the idea of wanting war to my guild members.

Games are meant to be fun. I could care less about the Elves’ circumstances.

While I was continuously progressing through the main quest, I managed to collect two required items for a quest assigned by the NPC, Jeoksurin, from another realm.

[Helping a Suspicious Figure]

Deliver “Suspicious Secret Scroll High” to Jeoksurin 1/1

Deliver “Suspicious Secret Scroll Medium” to Jeoksurin 0/1

Deliver “Suspicious Secret Scroll Low” to Jeoksurin 1/1

I didn’t have to hunt a special monster.

I just needed to defeat the common visitor monsters from another realm around here, and the items would drop naturally.

The low drop rate was a concern, but as long as I kept leveling up, I was sure I’d eventually obtain the Suspicious Secret Scroll Medium.

As a result of diligently completing quests and gaining experience, I hit level 75 on the third day since the expansion opened.

Level 75, the level where the rank 7 classes unlock.

I fell into deep thought before choosing my class.

The newly released classes for warriors were the problem.

New Rank 7 Classes

Warrior.

[Warrior]

[Sword Demon]

[Sword Emperor]

[Ark Knight]

These classes hadn’t existed in the original Deron. But I was drawn to them. It was a natural attraction.

They were surely classes that had crossed over from another realm.

However, the method for advancing to these professions and the NPC for job advancement hadn’t been disclosed.

Searching for that class on various community sites yielded no special information.

Everyone was straining their feet, trying to find the advancement method for those classes.

Yerin – [Hey, Yerin, have you found any job advancement info for Warrior or Sword Demon?]

Yerin – [No. I haven’t figured anything out either… ]

Yerin – [Have you completed the Jeoksurin quest?]

Yerin – [Not yet. The Secret Scrolls don’t drop well.]

Yerin was also one of the users aiming for the Warrior and Sword Demon classes.

But still, we couldn’t get any information.

If the Sword Demon or Warrior class hadn’t been added, I would have chosen [Sword Emperor] without hesitation.

I let out a sigh.

With nothing known, I had no choice but to wait for the information to be published.

The advancement instructor for the new Mage class, the Master, was already revealed.

A user had found it while progressing through a quest and shared that information without hesitation.

What a kind person.

Was there no one like that for the Warrior class?

Feeling regretful, I soared into the sky on my Windwalker.

Suddenly, a message from Helena arrived.

Helena – [Yerin.]

Yerin – [Huh?]

Helena – [I found the Warrior advancement instructor.]

Yerin – [Really?]

Helena – [Yeah, after clearing the Jeoksurin quest you told me about, a mark for the Warrior advancement instructor appeared under Jeoksurin’s name.]

Yerin – [Whoa… Thanks for letting me know.]

It was quite a good fortune. That was the only way to describe it.

I couldn’t help but smile as I checked Helena’s message.

It suddenly felt suspicious; that strange guy was the advancement instructor.

With this, I could be certain. The NPCs handing out side quests from another realm must all be job instructors.

I shared that information with Yerin.

The recently revealed Master class had also been discovered this way.

Initially, the NPC who threw only side quests transformed into a Master advancement instructor after the final quest was completed.

Jeoksurin was one of those NPCs.

While leveling up and pursuing the war scenario was crucial, the most important thing was definitely making my character strong.

I disregarded all the quests and began hunting monsters day and night.

As a result, after about two more hours of farming, I was able to gather all the books that Jeoksurin had requested.

[Helping a Suspicious Figure]

Deliver “Suspicious Secret Scroll High” to Jeoksurin 1/1

Deliver “Suspicious Secret Scroll Medium” to Jeoksurin 1/1

Deliver “Suspicious Secret Scroll Low” to Jeoksurin 1/1

I immediately flew on my Windwalker toward Jeoksurin.

Perhaps because it was an NPC in an area with advanced progress, no other users were around Jeoksurin, just like yesterday.

“Peeyaak!”

Just before landing on the ground, in my moment of urgency, I jumped off my Windwalker.

My light body turned slightly in the air and landed softly.

“I’ve brought the books.”

I pulled out the three suspicious secret scrolls I had collected from my inventory.

Then Jeoksurin, who had shown no reaction, approached me with shining eyes.

“Oh, this is…”

After confirming the scrolls, Jeoksurin took off the hat they wore and bowed to me.

They had a genuinely grateful expression.

“Helping a stranger without hesitation. That is the hallmark of a true adventurer.”

“Please let me advance to Warrior.”

“I am moved by your spirit.”

“Please let me become a Warrior.”

Jeoksurin had no response.

They simply threw out everything they wanted to say and tossed experience points at me as a quest reward.

Suddenly, new information popped up under Jeoksurin’s name.

[Jeoksurin]

[Warrior Advancement Instructor]

“Please let me become a Warrior.”

“Are you interested in these secret scrolls?”

At my words, Jeoksurin opened their mouth as if we were meeting anew today.

They were just typical NPCs, programmed to deliver fixed lines. An inevitable response.

“Yes.”

“If it’s you… very well. I will impart the techniques of the secret scrolls to you.”

“Yay!”

Jeoksurin took their hat off and placed it on the ground, then pulled out a massive sword from behind.

“Watch closely and learn.”

With those words, Jeoksurin slowly began to move.

The way they wielded the gigantic sword was quite skillful.

I crouched down to observe.

As the gigantic sword swung threateningly and sliced through the air, Jeoksurin stepped back and sheathed the sword.

Was the demonstration over? It didn’t seem like it. They began to use skills in earnest.

“One Blow, Two Cuts!”

After a brief preparatory pose, the horizontal slash cut through the air.

Jeoksurin’s skill demonstration ended very quickly.

In that moment, a message confirming my advancement appeared before my eyes.

[Warrior]

[One Blow, Two Cuts]

After a short breath, the sword is swiftly swung to slice through the enemies ahead.

[Wild Dragon Slash]

With the spirit of a dragon, swiftly strike forward.

[Spirit]

Damage dealt to targets lower than or equal to your level increases by 10%.

[Break Armor]

Swing the sword to deal significant damage to the opponent’s armor.

Decreases the opponent’s defense by 20%

Maximum stack: 1

[Breath]

When used, activates a buff that increases max damage by 20%.

Using attack skills will cause this buff to vanish.

[Master of Swords]

When equipped with sword or blade weapons, max damage increases by 20%.

Basic attack damage increases by 35%.

[Counter State]

Upon use, escapes all binding states.

Cooldown: 40 seconds

[Movement Technique]

Movement speed increases by 10%.

It was obvious at a glance.

This class was quite good.

I especially liked the passive skill, Master of Swords.

With my fast attack speed, this was the perfect skill to supplement my preference for frequent normal attacks.

I glanced down at the Counter State skill.

It was an escape skill. Finally, a warrior class with an escape ability had emerged.

How much shame had I endured at the hands of cold-magic mages until now?

One wrong step could have me turning into icicles and melting away.

But thanks to this skill, I could avoid such situations.
