Your Commander-in-Chief – Chapter 14

[Red Orc Empire] During the raid, everyone is thinking.

– Was the raid this easy?

Without a single crisis, they welcome the third Named Monster.

Their small Party Leader boldly charges at the Named Monster once again.

Following the calm voice of the Small Girl, they were able to break through every danger without fail.

“Left side, right side, Elite Monster wave incoming. Dealers, take care of the Elite Monsters first. Tanks, absolutely do not let monsters go towards the dealer line.”

[High Priest Karas]

The Named Monster they’re facing this time is a guy named Karas, who uses shamanic magic.

Given his weak physique in the lore, the guards protecting him are Named Monsters that rush in at set intervals.

Nobody was timing it. The Party Leader, who is main tanking at the front, was the one keeping track of the time.

Ducking under the attacks of the gigantic Orc, he handles everything. Even while facing the Named Monster, his eyes constantly scan the party members’ conditions.

There were no difficulties. Not once did the aggro stray from the main tank.

As time went on, fluctuations began to show in the party’s DPS numbers.

When facing the first Named Monster, the Party Leader’s DPS rank was 20th. Against the second, it rose to 19th.

Now it’s climbing from 18th to 17th. This meant the Party Leader’s skills were improving continuously.

The ones most acutely feeling this change were none other than the healer line.

“I’m still full on mana…”

“All the big attacks are dodged, so it’s not dangerous.”

The healers were brimming with confidence. Excluding the healers focused on the main tank, the rest had nothing much to do.

It felt comfortable. Overwhelmingly so. Even more comfortable than when running a regular dungeon.

Every time a golden flash glimmered, a red line appeared on the priest’s skin.

[Urrrrr!]

The Orc’s wild berserk ability is activated. Karas’s body grows larger, and his attack speed increases.

Yeo calmly surveyed the attacks. She cut through the flying red fireballs, dodging the priest’s staff.

Once again, it was a perfect tactic.

[This can’t be…!]

Thud!

The giant priest collapses.

Forty minutes into the raid dungeon, the party has taken down the third Named Monster.

Gasping for air, Yeo moved forward to loot the items.

At that moment, the eyes of the Small Girl sparkled.

The dropped item was unusual.

An item she had forgotten suddenly came back to her.

[Right Piece of the Sun]

Strength +5, Health +5

Max health increased by 5%

Level requirement 25

A piece that radiates the power of the brilliant sun

The priest Karas crafted the sun piece into a ring.

For a raid item, it was rather lackluster in spec. However, the true purpose of this item was different.

Obtaining this item along with its counterpart, [Left Piece of the Sun], would allow the party to initiate a hidden quest.

The ultimate prize at the end of that quest is the strongest item of the current episode: [Holy Sword of the Sun God Solara].

Aside from classes that use swords, nobody coveted this item.

Yeo linked the item and gauged the reactions of the party members.

However, disappointment washed over the faces of the party members.

Even the two sub-tanks were the same. This meant all members of the party didn’t recognize the true value of this item.

Yeo recalled a certain fact. The world was filled with various hidden quests that had been left undiscovered.

It made sense that the true purpose of the Sun Piece series had never been revealed.

“I’m starting the auction for the Right Piece of the Sun. Starting bid is 100 gold.”

No one stepped up. Naturally. They could find better option items at the auction house, so it seemed futile to spend a lot of gold on this.

Yeo calmly observed the situation. The Sun Piece series was meaningless individually.

Sure, the right piece had dropped from the priest, but without the other half, they couldn’t complete the [Holy Sword of the Sun God Solara].

Yeo recalled her past memories. Even when the use of this piece series had been revealed, very few had completed the holy sword at that time.

Both items had a low drop rate.

-100 gold.

Is it worth it?

No one bid. Yeo watched for a moment before speaking up.

“I… I’ll bid.”

Everyone nodded. It seemed likely the Party Leader was stepping up to handle an item that had no bidders.

Yeo put the ring in her inventory, then calculated the party’s gold.

After defeating the first Named Monster, they had 4,900 gold accrued.

From the second Named Monster, two priest armors dropped, selling for 250 gold each.

The third Named Monster yielded 100 gold, so the party distribution gold totaled 5,500 gold.

“Nothing else dropped, huh?”

“No, unfortunately not.”

Yeo nodded with a calm face at the party member’s question.

The pace of the raid was not fast.

While the time taken to strategize each Named Monster wasn’t long, the time spent charging through to each Named Monster was considerably longer.

After the auction for the third Named Monster was over, it had been 50 minutes since entering the dungeon.

Yeo checked the time and spoke.

“Everyone take a 10-minute restroom and smoke break.”

It was a remark that didn’t suit a Small Girl.

*

Unsurprisingly, Yeo’s party became the center of attention.

It was also natural that Deron Gallery was focused on her party situation.

Yeo had been a topic of conversation even before they started. It would be odd not to pay attention.

[Deron Online Gallery]

[How far will the middle school girl party make it on their first try?] [16]

(Cute pic)

Since she’s a middle school girl, she might go eat while tanking the Named Monster.

[Comments]

[Based on her skill, they should easily make it to the second Named Monster, right?]

N [Nah, they wiped on the first Named Monster, lol.]

N [Regular parties look like trash?]

N [Regular parties, agree 100%. They’ve been stuck for weeks and still haven’t cleared it.]

N [Do you raid?]

[Wow, the middle school girl’s mom must be bringing her food…]

N [If she doesn’t eat, she can’t play the game, lol.]

Amidst various speculative posts, one particular thread was uploaded.

[The middle school girl party is live streaming?] [16]

Stream link.

It seems the middle school girl didn’t start it? The view seems to be from the wizard’s side line, though. Who knows who it is?

[Comments]

[Is this for real?]

N [Seems real? They’re briefly explaining the tactics now.]

N [Heading there right now, lol.]

[But did they get permission from the Party Leader? Our Party Leader really hates tactics being leaked.]

N [Doesn’t seem bothered, so I guess they talked it over beforehand?]

N [Seems like that’s the case.]

[Will the middle school girl appear in this stream?]

The stream went live. Unsurprisingly, many people connected to that stream link to verify the truth.

Those who logged into the stream could watch the Small Girl chattering from the wizard’s perspective.

With the word spreading, the number of viewers exploded.

After the broadcast started, those watching shot up from 100 to over 1,500.

It was simply out of curiosity. Everyone watching thought as much.

No one was really expecting it. They were just curious about how this Small Party Leader was managing the party.

Then, the girl checked the party’s numbers and turned to enter the dungeon.

She jumped up as she did so.

Her long hair fluttered gracefully. It was an incredibly cute gesture.

No one could have predicted this action, but the Small Girl Party Leader was so adorable that the flood of chat messages surged.

[Hahaha!]

[The middle school girl is so cute, lol!]

[Do middle school girls jump when they enter dungeons?]

[If I jump when entering dungeons, do I become a middle school girl?]

While hundreds of chat messages were being quickly refreshed, they entered the raid dungeon and the first challenge began.

Most parties that were trying it for the first time wiped on the first challenge of the Elite Orc wave.

Those watching the stream mostly anticipated a wipe.

However, they did not wipe. With clean execution, all the Orcs were wiped out.

The overwhelming speed and smooth monster handling were thanks to the deployment of 30 wizards.

With all the area attacks, the Elite Orcs melted away.

[30 wizards?]

[Why aren’t thieves included?]

[Is the Party Leader discriminating against different classes?]

After handling the Orcs, the first Named Monster fight began.

Those watching the stream expected at least one wipe.

However, the Small Girl never lost aggro even once.

Her DPS rank was also high.

The fight against the Named Monster didn’t take long. With a short combat time, there were fewer patterns to appear. The party’s safety was greatly increased.

Time quickly passed, and they arrived in front of the second Named Monster.

Once again, a similar situation unfolded.

The overwhelming firepower of the wizards quickly chipped away at the Named Monster’s health.

The entire party’s dealer line was ranged. Unless something unusual happened, their attacks wouldn’t miss. They didn’t even avoid the boss’s patterns to attack.

It was an overwhelmingly comfortable experience. The wizard’s burst damage was astounding.

Thus, the second Named Monster also fell.

With these circumstances, everyone began to suspect something.

The Party Leader’s handling abilities were extraordinary. It was clear that it was an alternate character of a top-ranking Party Leader.

Various speculations ran rampant. The dominant opinion was that the Party Leader of a regular party gathered this party to trial tactics.

The auction ran smoothly as well. It was an expected assumption.

Even in a path-clearing situation, Yeo displayed overwhelming prowess.

She checked for the Elite Monsters popping up all over the place, not missing a single one.

Once a sub-tank started letting monsters slip through, she would charge in, using her Charge ability to take aggro.

As she moved quickly, piercing the Orcs’ necks, none of the Orcs strayed from her sight.

The wizards comfortably shot off their skills.

Thus, they arrived at the third Named Monster.

Once again, a similar situation unfolded.

Though a sub-tank let slip a few Elite Monsters, the ice arrows from the wizard line quickly cleaned up those that slipped through.

Everyone focused on the drop items. This was the place where ordinary users wouldn’t even get a chance to see the items raining down.

With racing hearts, they checked the item that the Party Leader linked.

[Right Piece of the Sun]

Strength +5, Health +5

Max health increased by 5%

Level requirement 25

[Are you kidding me? lol]

[So poor, lol!]

[Is that a raid accessory?]

[Nothing else?]

An underwhelming item popped up.

As expected, no one bid, and ultimately, the Small Girl who had been hesitating paid her 100 gold to take the item.

Immediately after, a line that didn’t suit her came out from her mouth.

“Everyone take a 10-minute restroom and smoke break.”

[How long has it been?]

[50 minutes.]

[Shouldn’t those who flaunt being part of a regular party hang themselves after this? lol.]

[A first-time party cutting down 3 Named Monsters in 50 minutes? lol.]

[The middle school girl giving smoke breaks (military veteran) lol.]
