Kaaang-!
The clash of long sword and nodachi in the air.
A standoff ensues without a hint of retreat.
Each of them reading the other’s movements.
It’s like watching a well-rehearsed play, exchanging perfect harmony.
The sharp blades can’t touch the opponent’s body. But that goes both ways.
Yeo and Jupiter continued to swing their swords, feeling the white-hot pain swelling within them.
Yeo’s posture spread wide, launching her attack from the top right.
Without hesitation, Jupiter swung her sword to the right.
Kaaang-!
Red sparks exploded in the air, violently shaking the two girls’ bodies.
However, neither side showed signs of panic.
Yeo knew her attack would be blocked, so she immediately changed the direction of her blade.
A small rotation from her wrist transmitted through the blade, pushing aside the entangled long sword.
Zzeong-!
Upper and lower. The blade swayed like a snake, aiming for the neck and thigh.
It’s a choose-your-own-adventure. One of two options must be forced.
Will she expose her neck or give up her legs and lose mobility?
Of course, Jupiter refused that choice.
As the bouncing sword drew an odd angle, Jupiter’s long sword also began to snake.
A meeting spot they gather at every weekend.
Jupiter experienced many things at the Future Comprehensive Digital Center.
Not her own body, but the rival in front of her.
In the body of the Blood Demon King Yeo.
Jupiter always thought about how she would move in front of the Blood Demon King wielding this swordsmanship.
Jupiter began to advance.
Sshhhiiik-
The hot white pain started to eclipse her limits.
Jupiter knew the timeframe allowed to her.
She could only fight on even terms for 60 seconds.
She could hold her own, but couldn’t overwhelm.
So, she’d boost her output.
Boom-!
Jupiter felt the white pain stimulating her head grow stronger and opened her eyes wide.
The movements she’d been matching with began to distort.
The gaze of the Blood Demon King facing her started to drift.
Limited release.
Bang-
The limited time began to burn quickly.
Like fuel to the fire, Jupiter started to move.
Kaaang-!
The swords spread wide and deflected Yeo’s sword.
Though their movements were similar, Jupiter’s reaction was a half-beat faster.
Before the great swing could gather strength, the attack was nullified.
Yeo was startled but managed to read the incoming attack targeting her neck.
Fast and precise. There was no time to recover her broken stance.
Reluctantly, Yeo twisted her body.
Sshhhiik-
Jupiter’s blue blade grazed over her collapsed form.
A few strands of her long black hair were sliced off and scattered through the air.
With a panicked expression, Yeo began to retreat.
It felt as if she was fighting a boss monster with unreasonable attack patterns.
But that couldn’t be right. The opponent was Jupiter. It made no sense to feel this way against a weaker rival.
Yeo endlessly denied, doubting her senses.
But the more she struggled, the more wounds appeared on her body.
Clang-! Kwang!
The greatly swung long sword carved deep gashes into Yeo’s shoulder and chest.
Yeo felt a sharp pain and frowned.
It felt like her insides were burning away.
At this rate, she would lose.
A bold decision was needed.
Jupiter felt her anxiety rising as she cornered Yeo.
Using the “Bang” skill, she pulled back the available time she could utilize.
Now, she had only about 20 seconds left, a very short time.
However, Yeo showed no signs of falling.
Even with gashes crossing her chest, her gaze didn’t falter.
Jupiter bit her lip and swung her sword wide.
At that moment, Yeo’s body sharply retreated, and she slammed her nodachi downwards.
Jupiter read Yeo’s movement. The attack radius was extremely narrow.
It wasn’t an attack targeting her.
Blood Demon King. What intention lies behind this attack?
Instead of chasing after Yeo, Jupiter subtly stepped back to regain her stance.
Preparing for the next strike to send her flying.
However, Jupiter couldn’t move as intended.
Kwang-!
The massive sword swung down, slamming onto the slender support beam.
The shock was fully transmitted, and the wooden beam began to spin violently.
“Ahh-!”
Caught off guard by the unforeseen impact, Jupiter’s body was roughly shaken.
The spinning log caused her to slip sideways.
With her stance breaking, her focus was briefly scattered.
Yeo bit her lip, watching Jupiter wobble unsteadily.
Her opponent had been hiding her true skill. If this continued, she was certain she’d be defeated.
The shaking of the beam created a tiny opening. If she let this moment pass, Jupiter would quickly recover and pierce a sword through her neck.
So.
This was the only way.
With a short battle cry, Yeo rushed toward Jupiter.
“Hyyaahh!”
Releasing her sword, Yeo forcefully shoved Jupiter away.
With a “thunk,” Jupiter’s sword flew out of her hand as she was pushed back.
Both Jupiter and Yeo were hurled off the bridge.
Below, a raging current flowed.
If they fell, survival for both was uncertain.
Splash-!
As the predetermined future approached, the two girls plunged into the cold water.
Jupiter felt the freezing sensation engulf her whole body and screamed.
“Blood Demon King!!!”
“Jupiter!!!”
Yeo reached out toward Jupiter in desperation.
Blood was gushing from the gashes all over her body, causing her health to rapidly decline.
At this rate, she’d be the first to die, not Jupiter.
Unlike Yeo, covered in wounds, Jupiter bore none.
If she could just endure, and if luck would have it, she could survive and escape the current.
Yeo couldn’t bear that fact.
Her flailing hand cut through the water, clutching at the white-haired girl’s hair.
“Hii- Hyaahh!”
“Dieeahhh!”
Her gaze spun frantically. She couldn’t regain her stance.
The violent water shook their bodies madly.
Crashing to the riverbed and resurfacing, they collided with unidentified debris floating in the water, feeling great impact.
Yet, Yeo didn’t let go of Jupiter’s hair.
“Hyaaahh!”
Jupiter wasn’t just taking it either.
A strong hand reached out and grabbed Yeo’s black hair.
The two girls began yanking each other’s hair, shaking their heads wildly.
“Hiiiiiiyahhh!”
“Kkiiyaaaahh!”
Amidst the chaotic hair-shaking dance, the girls finally reached the end of the water’s rage.
The segment that would cause every submerged player to fall to their death.
Sheer cliffs, and the flowing water beneath turned into waterfalls cascading into endless darkness.
Jupiter and Yeo were sent tumbling down.
With no obstacles, still gripping each other’s hair, their gazes blurred together in the air.

“Jupiter!!!”
The moment the respawn finished, I checked my equipment and dashed out.
I sought revenge on Jupiter, who had stabbed me multiple times.
I’d slap that foul mouth shut and deliver a merciless punch to her gut.
However, I found no sign of Jupiter on the battlefield.
Not even at the enemy respawn location or amidst the fight that was still raging.
Nowhere could I find Jupiter.
“Hiyooohh!”
I let out a roar of fury.
Checking the scoreboard where players’ information was displayed, I saw the red “Disconnect” next to Jupiter’s nickname.
She’d been talking about fleeing, yet here she was running away herself.
Who should I direct this unbearable anger toward?
I pulled out my nodachi from behind and dove into the enemy lines.

“Hik…”
Exiting the capsule, Jupiter, panting heavily, approached the small table alongside Ellie.
Having pushed her abilities to the limit, they were on overdrive.
She needed to quickly take some medication to ease her symptoms.
Her small, squishy hand slowly reached out to grab the white pills placed on the table.
Ellie popped the white pills into her mouth and washed them down with the prepared water.
The white pills slipped down her throat along with the water, sinking into her belly.
The effects would manifest soon enough.
However, that waiting time felt painfully long for Ellie.
For others, one second felt like ten seconds to her.
It would take about five minutes for the medicine to take effect after taking it.
In other words, Ellie had to endure for 50 minutes in a time that accelerated.
But it didn’t feel as agonizing as before.
Ellie let out a small giggle.
Before she logged out, she noted that her kill log was the first to show up.
That’s right. She finally defeated her rival.
Although it was in VRS, not Deron, winning was still winning.
Ellie lay on the floor with a blissful smile.
As she let her thoughts drift into happiness, the effects of the medication began to surface gradually.
The sensations that had been vividly awake began to dull, and her racing mind started to settle.
She couldn’t afford to waste any more time.
Feeling her heavy body, Ellie stood up and headed for the capsule.
Inside, a basic “Shadow Play” function was built in.
Though for a brief time, it saved all her gameplay.
“There it is…!”
It was indeed still there.
Ellie accessed the VRS play video and hit the permanent save button.
For that short moment, it recorded her overwhelming presence over the Blood Demon King.
This couldn’t be wasted.
Such a moment needed to be memorialized in her concept document.
Recalling what she learned from the Soft & Chewy Raccoon and Blood Demon King, Ellie pulled out the treasure box she had stashed in her drawer.
From that small treasure box tumbled out a total of 20 mobile phones.
Ellie didn’t need a VPN.
All 20 were activated mobile phones.
“Heehee…”
