The first attempt ended in utter failure.
The cause of our wipe was entirely on me.
But instead of the fact that we wiped, the party members seemed much more interested in the build I was using.
Especially the wizards.
“Party Leader! What kind of build is that? How are you dealing so much damage…”
“Weren’t you short on mana? How the heck…”
I looked around at my party members with my arms crossed.
Everyone was waiting for me to explain.
Even Hwarang seemed quite shocked by my insane DPS.
“It’s not a build I created.”
This build was actually born from the Snow Mage.
I continued explaining the build I developed with Snow Mage Helena to the party members.
The only attack skill I used was [Elemental Cannon].
All other skills are used as catalysts.
I can’t even move from my spot.
If I stop casting Elemental Cannon, I have to stack it back up from the beginning.
Since all selected jobs were used solely to increase damage, it was obvious that there would be no survival skills.
In other words, a mage choosing this build could only become a glass cannon.
It’s a build with too many weaknesses, but I could confidently say its firepower is higher than any other build present in Deron.
The fact that it surpassed Hwarang’s DPS by more than double was proof of that.
“That’s just too strong…”
“Will they patch this?”
“Without a survival skill… could they really patch it?”
“It seems like this is just the Party Leader maximizing damage… Instead of giving up a buff for Rune Caster, it’d be better to add survival skills…”
Hearing my explanation, the party members started voicing their opinions one by one.
That made perfect sense.
I hadn’t even used a special Transcendence Stone, and yet I delivered an incredible DPS.
If there were a few more mages with the same build in our party, this Named Monster would have melted away in no time without even showing a single pattern.
As a seasoned gamer honed over many years, my instincts told me.
This build would be swiftly cut to pieces soon.
Therefore, I had to conquer the raid before the build got wiped out.
But for now, I couldn’t utilize this build 100%.
The gigantic aggro numbers were the problem.
Tanker classes are given high aggro values to compensate for their weak damage.
So, even a reasonable dealer can hardly steal aggro from the tank.
But this build did it.
As soon as Elemental Cannon reached full stacks, Crow, who had been pounding on Dogrik, strode over to me without a moment’s hesitation.
I can only imagine how flustered the main tank Dogrik must have been.
If I were him, I would have been too dumbfounded to say anything.
“Party Leader…!”
At that moment, the one approaching me was Dogrik, the main tank.
Dressed in his gigantic full plate, Dogrik looked down at me with a pained expression.
“Could you tone down the damage…?!”
“I plan to.”
I was already thinking about it.
It was merely a mistake; such an incident would never happen again.
“Really…? You won’t just spam again without thinking, will you?”
“Absolutely not.”
“Understood…”
After a bit of commotion, it didn’t take long for the raid strategy to resume.
“I’ll begin!”
With Dogrik’s words, the battle started.
Crow and Dogrik swung their swords, striking each other’s bodies.
After about five seconds, the dealers finally began their attacks.
I glanced down to check my DPS numbers.
As expected, Hwarang’s nickname ranked first again.
If I paused for a moment, Helena quickly took back the top spot, but Hwarang rolled back in and snatched it away again.
I looked at that scene with a smug expression.
No matter how hard Hwarang tried, he could never beat me.
That fact made me happy and excited.
I shifted my gaze to the aggro numbers recorded next to the DPS.
Ten seconds into the fight, Dogrik had used everything he could to stack up aggro.
Now, it was my turn.
Flap-!
I swung the staff in my hand, waving the magnificent cloak trailing behind me.
Immediately after, I pointed the staff and shouted.
“Take this!!!”
Whoosh-!
A thin crimson beam from the staff persistently struck Crow’s body.
In that moment, I felt all party members tense up.
I knew that if I carelessly kept bombarding Crow like before, we would wipe again.
That’s why everyone was on edge.
I am a highly adaptive cute girl.
I would never repeat the same mistake.
Boom-!
The crimson beam unleashed from the tip of the staff grew stronger and thicker over time.
The DPS numbers surged exponentially.
As I reached the final stack of Elemental Cannon, my DPS rank skyrocketed to first place.
Without pausing, I immediately redirected the staff.
Crash-!
The moment I halted my attack, my stacks vanished.
So instead, I just switched my direction and kept the attack going.
As the crimson beam shot up into the sky, the DPS numbers that had rapidly climbed began to drop again.
I frowned and turned the staff back to Crow.
Crash-!
The beam, powerful enough to erase everything, enveloped Crow once more.
I adjusted the aggro numbers for maximum efficiency.
As I approached the point of overtaking Dogrik, I aimed my staff skyward, and when the aggro began to lower, I returned it to Crow.
I continued this cycle.
On the second try, the raid’s situation was stable.
Three minutes had passed since we began the battle.
Crow’s health currently stood at 70%.
Ten percent of his health disappeared every minute.
We weren’t moving like a party that had just entered a raid dungeon.
While I kept pouring blood onto Crow, he suddenly knelt and plunged his holy sword into the ground.
[You’ve grown stronger… I hardly recognize you… But now, I’ll show my true power.]
The moment Crow finished speaking, a pale moonlight dawned over his head.
That gently glowing light didn’t feel holy at all.
Of course, it was a pattern I had never seen before.
All party members began to tense up.
This raid dungeon held similarities to the raid where the Fallen Sun God appeared.
Thus, I could make some deductions on Crow’s expected patterns.
“Ranged dealers, be careful! A charge pattern might come out!”
A charge pattern was certainly the most probable pattern to occur.
After comfortably dealing damage until now, a significant threat was about to arise for the ranged dealers.
However, the pattern that came next diverged from my expectations.
[Come forth!]
As Crow yelled loudly, the map shimmered transparently, and twisted creatures from the Vampire Clan began pouring out one after another.
This was the least likely pattern I had anticipated.
Patterns with many adds typically require a Sub Tank.
It was quite a malicious setup.
The previous Named Monster demanded a high DPS, and now this Named Monster required numerous Sub Tanks.
I was sure that many raiders were grumbling about this setup.
Had Princess Yeo not altered her build, avoiding a wipe would have been tough.
But things were different now.
“Everyone, focus on the Named Monster!”
“Party Leader?”
“Just trust me! I’ll handle it alone!”
I had already confirmed what the output of this build was.
I could manage the Elite Monsters that had just spawned all on my own.
Trust me and just hit the Named Monster.
The party members complied with my command without further questions.
I redirected the beam that was pounding on Crow toward the Elite Monsters.
“Take this!!!”
Boom!
With a powerful beam of blood-red light soaring high, not a single Elite Monster could withstand it longer than two seconds.
From the right and left came a total of 20 Elite Vampire Clan Priests.
It took less than five seconds to eliminate all of them.
I turned my gaze back to Crow.
He was acting with a simple AI that followed a predetermined pattern.
There was no hidden pattern that triggered when I cleared the monsters faster than expected.
“Everyone, attack!!!”
I aimed the staff at Crow.
That magnificent beam engulfed his body, which had its sword embedded in the ground.
Boom-!
About a minute passed.
Crow slowly opened his mouth in that state.
[Impressive…]
Crow’s current health was at 50%.
[But how about this.]
The second wave of adds began to spawn.
I realized with certainty.
When Crow starts the add pattern, he would remain in that kneeling state without acting for a specified time.
In other words, if we quickly cleared the adds, Crow would be left completely defenseless.
“All focus on Crow!!!”
Once again, I would be managing the adds.
I aimed the staff toward the direction the Vampire Clan Priests were pouring out from.
Boom-!
They all got swept away.
Not a single scream or trace remained.
The summoned Elite Monsters vanished futilely, unable to even reach the party members.
This time, there were 40 newly spawned monsters.
Crow remained silently kneeling, taking every blow without a word.
If the target doesn’t move, the DPS from the ranged dealers naturally rises.
Crow’s remaining health stood at 30%.
I aimed the staff at his body.
Since he wasn’t doing anything, I didn’t have to worry about the aggro.
If he suddenly stood up and began to move, I’d just stop my attack then.
Crash-!
The beam shredding everything began chipping away at Crow’s health.
Crow’s remaining health fell to 10%.
But still, the next pattern didn’t appear.
Could it be?
Could it really be this easy to just farm kills?
The moment I thought that, Crow raised his body.
[It seems… I must step up myself…]
Crow’s remaining health stood at 5%.
Even as he spoke, his health continued to dwindle.
It wouldn’t stop.
It would be fine to die.
After all, he was almost out of health.
“Dogrick! Come to me!”
Dogrick must have understood what I meant.
That I would likely die while dealing damage, and the moment I fell, he should use provocation to grab aggro.
He started running toward me, just as Crow drew his sword and charged at me.
Slash-!
With the brilliant moonlight trailing behind him, Crow began to slide toward me.
Just before the knight of the moonlight reached me, the Snow Mage who stood beside me grabbed me.
“Huh?”
“Don’t stop!”
Though surprised, I didn’t stop as the Snow Mage urged.
The Snow Mage created an icy surface beneath us and started to glide across it.
Naturally, I was dragged along, cradled in the Snow Mage’s arms.
At that moment, it dawned on me.
If the fixed turret couldn’t move, we just needed to make it mobile.
In other words, we’d carry it ourselves.
Crow’s remaining health was at 2%.
The Snow Mage swiftly glided along the icy surface, and as we reached the end, she used Blink to widen the gap once more.
Crash-!
Of course, my attacks didn’t cease even in that state.
A continuous onslaught of blood-red beams kept pounding Crow’s body.
“Blood Demon King, unleash your power!!!”
“Take this!!!”
Boom-!
Crow’s remaining health hit 0%.
[I can’t believe it… The me from another world…]
Thud-!
Crow’s massive body collapsed.
The third Named Monster [Fallen Moonlight Crow].
Total attempts: two.
Hunt successful.
