“Wow…”
Everyone was in awe, unable to utter a single word.
Who would have thought that tackling a raid boss could be done in just two tries?
Even I was so dumbfounded that I couldn’t find my voice.
The drawbacks were clear, but such outstanding firepower overshadowed all of them.
Not just in PvE. It’s bound to show tremendous power in PvP as well.
What would happen if a legion of wizards formed by the True Blood clan applied for a Conquest?
The capital? It would just be a futile resistance. It was clear that the gates and walls would be obliterated by long-range gunfire starting from afar.
“Party Leader! Where can we start that True Blood Reincarnation Quest?”
“Party Leader!!!”
The wizard party members showed little interest even though the auction had started.
Everyone must have realized.
Everything they had researched to increase their DPS had become meaningless.
A build that could simply raise its hand and shoot out blood beams with overwhelming firepower had been discovered.
In such a situation, there was no way they would notice the raid items.
“Check the character info for the job build… I’ll post the video link for the True Blood Reincarnation Quest in the chat.”
I had no intention of hiding anything about this build.
The Snow Mage, who could be regarded as the founder of the build, was on the same page as me, so she supported my decision to make it public.
The party members who had heard all my explanations—especially the ones leveling up wizards—were practically fidgeting, eager to reincarnate into a True Blood right away.
But too bad. Our raid party had already defeated the Hellfire Dragon Bahamut.
In other words, the wizards of our party couldn’t reincarnate into True Blood until next week.
“Ah…”
The wizards sighed with disappointment upon realizing they couldn’t reincarnate right now.
But it was for the best. If everyone suddenly decided to switch jobs following my build and then Deron’s side cut its limbs off…
That thought was terrifying enough.
It was enough to have Princess Yeo in dangerous situations.
While I was smiling softly at the party members, the uninterested Snow Mage approached me and spoke.
“Blood Demon King. Are you satisfied with the build I created?”
“Of course.”
Was I simply satisfied?
I felt like giving the Snow Mage a kiss on the cheek just because I was so thrilled.
But I held back. Even among women, suddenly kissing someone on the cheek would probably be quite off-putting.
“But I’m a bit disappointed.”
“What’s that?”
As I spoke with the Snow Mage, I stealthily glanced at Dogrik.
Dogrik was completely absorbed in the auction race, focused on the newly emerged items.
At this distance, he probably wouldn’t hear us?
I cautiously opened my mouth.
“The aggro draws way too quickly. It’s a problem because it’s just too strong.”
“Ah…”
In fact, finding a tank that could hold aggro even with this level of firepower would be tougher.
So I was disappointed that we couldn’t draw out the true power of this build completely.
“Wouldn’t it be okay if we got a strong tank?”
“Our party’s tank slot is already full, you know?”
“This isn’t the second party, is it?”
“Um…”
Just as the Snow Mage said, the raid that was being run with Princess Yeo was always slow to start, leaving many slots empty.
“But we don’t really have strong tanks in our guild…”
“You don’t need to stick to guild members only, do you?”
“That’s true, but…”
In fact, the Snow Mage was right.
The inception of the current first raid party was from a public party I had formed.
That became a guild and eventually gave rise to the Soft & Chewy Cow.
“A strong tank…”
I murmured absentmindedly as I recalled my internet friends.
Since most of them were older guys, there weren’t many with good skills.
*
Looking for a good tank.
That thought lingered in my mind throughout the raid.
“Good job, everyone!”
“See you tomorrow!”
Even as we parted at the end of the raid strategy time, that thought didn’t disappear.
Eventually, left alone, I opened the community window and called up my friend list.
Thanks to account merging, I could see other friends even as Princess Yeo, my alternate character.
From there, I filtered my friends by character type, looking only for tanks that were online.
Of course, I refined the list further to include only the skilled people in that group.
In the end, there was only one person on that list.
The target’s nickname was Jupiter.
It seemed she was online and actively playing in Deron, as indicated by the green light.
“Jupiter…”
The Little Sparrow.
I had thought she was an older guy and had given her some useful tips for using forums, but I was so surprised to realize she was actually Jupiter.
I had highly praised her in front of her, which was quite an embarrassing situation.
Though it was all just to sway public opinion in the forums, I was the only one who knew that.
Jupiter seemed to think I genuinely liked her.
Jupiter was a solo-oriented player. Due to her past performance issues, all Korean users avoided teaming up with her.
Naturally, there could be no raid party.
Even normal dungeon parties were in the habit of rejecting Jupiter, which showed how serious her previous issues had been as a male character.
I cautiously typed a message to Jupiter.
Princess Yeo – [Little Sparrow.]
No response came back.
She was probably doing something else while keeping her character active.
How much time had passed?
Finally, the long-awaited reply from Jupiter arrived.
Jupiter – [Blood Demon King!]
Princess Yeo – [What are you doing now?]
Jupiter – [I’m carrying out an extremely important mission.]
At the mention of an important mission, I tilted my head for just a moment.
I could easily remember that Jupiter was deeply immersed in the world of Deron.
She was likely just passing the time doing a lost child quest or something.
Princess Yeo – [Can we meet for a bit?]
Jupiter – [Meet? You and me?]
Wow…
Her chat tone was completely opposite from her aloof demeanor in real life.
I sighed and continued chatting.
Princess Yeo – [I have something important to tell you.]
It was an invitation to join the raid.
It would be better to propose it face-to-face rather than chatting.
Jupiter seemed to understand my intentions and promptly accepted the meeting.
Jupiter – [I’ll head over right now. Where’s the location?]
Princess Yeo – [In front of the fountain at Solaris Capital City.]
I finished speaking with Jupiter and used the Return Stone to head to the capital.
Arriving at the fountain in the capital…
I approached the fountain while wearing the pointed hat pushed down over my head.
A wide, open space.
Numerous users bustling about.
Among them, of course, I stood out.
Everyone was looking. They must be secretly admiring my fabulous figure.
I enjoyed the gazes from all around and deliberately fluttered my royal-looking cloak.
Just then, the gazes that had been on me shifted away to another place.
I turned my head following the crowd’s gaze.
A small angel.
A little girl dressed in pure white full plate mail was confidently walking over, flapping her wings behind her.
That girl, of course, was Jupiter.
The proud little angel Jupiter stood at the fountain, looking around as if she were searching for someone.
Could it be that she didn’t recognize me because I’m in the form of Princess Yeo?
I slightly lifted the brim of my hat as I approached Jupiter.
Although I was taller than Jupiter in reality, here she was a bit taller due to the thick plate boots she wore.
“Hey.”
“Hmm…?”
Still not recognizing me?
I leaned my face closer to Jupiter’s.
“It’s me.”
“You are…!”
Only then did Jupiter seem to finally recognize me, her eyes widening as she took a step back.
I nodded happily with satisfaction.
“You made it here on time.”
“Hy, Blood Demon King!!!”
Unlike before, Jupiter didn’t draw her sword on me all of a sudden.
She seemed surprised but was conscious of those around her, so she fluttered her wings and said,
“I came to keep my promise with you. What is it that you wanted to talk about?”
“Let’s go somewhere quiet first.”
“A, a quiet place…?”
“Yeah.”
I nodded and turned my body.
Where I would suggest joining her in the raid was not a suitable topic to discuss while standing.
I glanced back and said,
“Come on quick.”
“Ah, okay…!”
The relationship between Jupiter and me was delicate.
It was like a friendship that wasn’t quite a friendship, an enemy that wasn’t quite an enemy; if asked if we were close friends, it would be hard to answer—it could truly be described as ambiguous.
From Jupiter’s side, it seemed she viewed me as an absolute rival, but I felt no rivalry with someone weaker than myself.
The place we arrived at with Jupiter was a small café.
It was a place I occasionally rented to enjoy the atmosphere, where simple tea and cakes could be bought.
“This place is…”
“Sit down comfortably. It’ll be an important and long talk.”
Of course, that was if Jupiter accepted.
“An important talk…!”
I sat down and chose a cup of black tea and a strawberry cake.
Selecting from the menu floating in front of me would automatically deduct gold and generate the item on the table.
However, the cake created this way couldn’t really be called a perfect cake.
It was merely something soft that gave a sweet taste.
You couldn’t feel the delightful reality like a real cake wrapping around you with sweetness and smoothness.
Jupiter also gleamed with excitement in front of the cake she had chosen.
Her short legs seemed to be swinging back and forth, apparently looking forward to the taste of the cake.
“Jupiter.”
“Yes, Blood Demon King?”
“You don’t have a raid party, right?”
Of course not.
Jupiter hesitated slightly at my words before opening her mouth.
“I, I don’t have one right now… But…!”
“Then join my raid party.”
Jupiter didn’t respond to my statement.
For a moment, I thought maybe she was going to reject it; when I tilted my head to look at her, Jupiter suddenly covered her face with both hands.
“Jupiter?”
“Wait, just a moment…! Just a second…!”
“What’s wrong?”
“Just wait a moment… I think something got in my eye…”
“How could dust get in here? Even if you poured dirt, it wouldn’t feel like it would hurt your eyes, right?”
“Hy, it seems like something got into my eyes in reality…”
What can I do? If she’s feeling discomfort…
I crossed my arms and waited for Jupiter.
Jupiter, with her face covered, slightly turned her body, using her large angel wings to cover herself.
Occasionally, I saw her body twitching, as if she were holding back laughter.
Could it really be that the proposal to join the raid made her that happy?
