Right after the school trip ended, I started growing the guild.
Since I was the Guild Master and quite famous, there were countless applicants wanting to join.
As time went by, other parties started clearing raids one by one.
The advantage of being the only party capable of clearing raids in Deron was fading.
However, the title of Party Leader still remained. The number of guild members gradually increased.
Out of the 300-member capacity, 120 spots were filled.
This meant we had surpassed the minimum requirement of 100 for a guild war.
But with so many people, issues arose. It was about the raids.
At this stage, raids were structured to bind 40 players in one party. This meant that with just one character, I couldn’t cater to all the other guild members.
It would have been great if I could carve out a new party and hand it off to someone else, but I couldn’t do that just yet.
We were still a newborn guild. I needed to solidify my position as the Guild Leader.
I had to make them act like they would die if I told them to, even if it was just pretending.
The necessity for handling another party arose.
In the end, I decided to level up another character.
Fortunately, my account had one more character.
It was a character that Hayun had raised before me, with the nickname [Princess Yeo].
I paused for a moment, but what did a nickname matter? There were way weirder nicknames than this when playing Deron in another world.
Whenever I had time, I diligently nurtured the Princess Yeo character.
I soon hit the maximum level and joined the guild, starting to manage a new party.
For some reason, the guild members seemed to prefer logging into Princess Yeo over my main character.
The equipment was underwhelming, and the controls were lacking compared to my main character, so what was so appealing?

Hello, Adventurer.
An update for Deron Online is scheduled for July 20 (Wednesday).
The exchange items for the event (Trace of the Lost Sun God) will disappear after this update.
New Content: Conquest / Guild Raid
[Introduction to Conquest]
A guild-exclusive content called Conquest has been added.
Guild leaders can bid for the challenge rights from the guild management NPCs in each region, and during the Conquest, the guild war system will be disabled.

50% of the bidding fee will go to the treasury of the challenged guild.
[Conquest Timing]
Every Saturday/Sunday from 8 PM to 9 PM
The guild that wins the Conquest will unlock usage rights for the guild hideout in that city.
If a guild conquers a city, they will receive the following benefits:

– 20% discount on items purchased in that region.
– 5% of trading fees generated in that region will go to the guild treasury.
– 10% increased drop rate while hunting in that region.

Participation of mercenaries requires the approval of the guild currently occupying the region.

[Underground Maze]
A guild-exclusive content called Underground Maze will be opened.

Guild content has been updated.
This means I can start the stopped “Shing Shing Smash” again.
The Conquest and Underground Maze content are the perfect stage to showcase the Guild Leader’s charisma.
When I logged in on the update day, guild members were chatting about the newly added content.
I shifted my gaze to check the guild funds. Thanks to Sohee, no, Helena who tossed in a few thousand gold coins into the piggy bank whenever it crossed her mind, the guild treasury had exceeded 20 thousand gold.
Along with her, other guild members also contributed diligently, but 70% of the current guild funds were created by Helena.
Yeo – [Everyone, make sure to stock up on Divine Blessings. There won’t be a conquest this Saturday, so don’t exert yourself unnecessarily.]
After finishing the guild chat, I began organizing items.
For the conquest happening tomorrow, I needed a lot of various items.
In the first week of the conquest, the conquest won’t take place on Saturday.
To be precise, user vs. user conquests won’t happen then.
Since there won’t be a guild defending the fortress, as long as we win in the bidding for the challenge rights, we will certainly conquer the fortress.
The issue was what happened after conquering it.
That was what I planned.
As time passed, it turned 7:40, and the server-wide message appeared.
[The bidding competition for the Conquest has begun.]
I promptly unfolded the map and scanned all regions.
Once the bidding competition starts, I could instantly grasp the bidding happening everywhere through the map.
As a result, the Lunaris Capital City was the scene of the fiercest battle.
Not even a minute had passed since the bidding competition began, and already 1,000 gold was at stake.
But my focus wasn’t on that.
I was solely looking for Shing Shing Guild. I needed to figure out where they planned to bid.
Were they biding their time? Shing Shing was showing no real movements.
The bidding timeframe was 10 minutes. If they didn’t make a bid during that time or lost the bidding battle, they wouldn’t be able to acquire the challenge rights.
At the moment it hit 7:49, Shing Shing Guild placed a bid for the new region of Sakazan.
The bidding amount totaled 3,000 gold.
This was far higher than the previously requested 1,000 gold.
I hadn’t placed my bid yet. I set a timer beside me to keep track of time.
When the clock reached 7:49:55, I dropped 6,000 gold into the bidding in one go.
Shing Shing must have been waiting for a moment like this. Therefore, their usual expectation amount would be surpassed.
The waiting manager from Shing Shing likely didn’t react in time.
As a result…
[‘Soft & Chewy Cow’ Guild has acquired the challenge rights for the freezing Sakazan region!]
The bidding was successfully completed.
I quickly scanned other regions.
But I couldn’t find the Shing Shing guild name anywhere.
Once the bidding is complete, you are given a waiting period of 10 minutes.
During this time, I needed to set up elite members for the conquest, but right now, I just accepted them on a first-come, first-served basis.
After all, today, it was just about robbing an empty fortress, so there wouldn’t be any fighting.
After an hour, from 8 to 9 PM, the Soft & Chewy Cow Guild conquered the freezing Sakazan region.
As a result, a fearsome bull mark that represented our guild was etched onto the map.
I was extremely satisfied.
The guild hideout was a large fortress.
Guild members also came to check out the new hideout.
I sat in the meeting room, which was restricted to the Guild Master and the executive rank users.
The chair meant only for the Guild Master was enormous.
So huge that I had to sit in it and feel buried.
There was a lot to do today. I began gathering information on the guilds that were occupying various regions.
Sunday. The day of the showdown dawned.
Guild members were excited about the opportunity to conduct a proper conquest today, but I couldn’t shatter that hope.
If the Shing Shing guild challenged our guild, we would indeed have to fight, but I knew.
Shing Shing would choose to dodge rather than engage in battle.
This was clear from the bidding competition held on Saturday.
Though they got beat up by us, the Shing Shing side had shown no response whatsoever.
It seemed they couldn’t shake off the nightmare of Hwarang’s sniping that haunted them throughout that morning.
As time rolled on, once again, at 7:40, the bidding competition commenced.
I lounged in the Guild Meeting Room chair, waiting casually.
When I spread the map, Shing Shing was using a very aggressive bidding strategy.
Not on our side, but on others.
The region that Shing Shing targeted was the snow-covered mountain range.
They staked their pride, putting down the exact 3,000 gold they had previously thrown up, as if they wouldn’t budge an inch.
I smirked slightly and began to move my hands.
The guild occupying the snow-covered mountain range was the [Galaxy] guild.
I composed a message to the Galaxy guild leader.
Yeo – [Hello. I’m Yeo, the leader of the Soft & Chewy Cow Guild. Do you have a moment to chat?]
Danpoong – [Oh, hello! I’m all ears.]
Yeo – [Would you be interested in forming an alliance?]
Danpoong – [An alliance…?]
Yeo – [I want to maintain a cooperative relationship where we can help each other in upcoming guild events.]
Danpoong – [Oh… That’s an intriguing proposition.]
Yeo – [Let’s discuss the details after the conquest ends; let’s tackle the urgent matters first.]
Danpoong – [Urgent matters?]
Yeo – [Can you stop the Shing Shing guild?]
Danpoong – [Umm… To be honest, I think it might be a bit tough.]
Yeo – [I’ll handle the fortress for you.]
Danpoong – [Huh? How?]
Yeo – [There’s no rule saying you can’t participate in the bidding while occupying the region.]
Danpoong – [Ah!]
Danpoong understood my intent immediately.
My strategy was as follows: just before the bidding competition ends, I would jump into the bid Shing Shing was aiming for.
In that condition, we’d hold on to the challenge rights while our guild wouldn’t enter the actual conquest.
As a result, though we would waste the challenge rights, it didn’t matter since our numbers were just 120, making it impossible to attack and defend at the same time.
This way, I could achieve my goal while also forging an alliance with the other guild.
Danpoong – [Is that really possible?]
Yeo – [It is. I’ve already tested it.]
Danpoong – [Hmm… You put it that way, but I’m worried you might enter the conquest…]
Yeo – [Our guild has 120 members. We can’t attack and defend at once. I’ll place everyone on defense, so don’t worry.]
Danpoong – [Understood.]
Yeo – [Then I’ll take that as your acceptance of the alliance. In the event that any of our guild members enter the conquest, feel free to take them down. We don’t need guild members who don’t follow my orders.]
Danpoong – [Ack… You’re way scarier than the rumors say.]
After finishing my conversation with Danpoong, it was time to adhere to the 49-minute deal.
I set my bidding amount right as the timer approached the moment to push the bidding button, Shing Shing unexpectedly raised their bid by 1,000 gold, totaling 4,000 gold.
Seeming anxious, they probably raised it just before the end. But my set amount remained 6,000 gold as it had been yesterday.
[‘Soft & Chewy Cow’ Guild has acquired the challenge rights for the snow-covered mountain range!]
Yeo – [I defended the bidding for you. You can pay back the 50% of the bidding fee to your guild treasury, right?]
Danpoong – [Thank you! I’ll send it via mail!]
Right after finishing my conversation with Danpoong, the gold swiftly flew into my mailbox.
Had I not returned the bidding fee, I would have had to enter the conquest there alongside my guild members.
We did have other guilds that challenged us, but they were small enough that I doubted even 50 members would show up.
They seemed to have only entered to secure basic rewards.
Yeo – [Everyone, only enter the defensive battle. Do not enter the Conquest.]
In the end, that day, Shing Shing ended up with nothing, left only to twiddle their thumbs.
However, it wasn’t over yet. The [Underground Maze] raid happening on Monday still loomed ahead.
