This place called the Rift of Dimensions.
The vast expanse of space was fundamentally weightless.
The reason I could stand upright on the ship was thanks to the gravity system inside it.
Patta-patta!
My rapidly flailing legs soared into the air, widening the distance from the ship.
Right after that, the pressure of gravity began to disappear.
My lightened body flew towards the massive Black Lion’s head.
“What the hell?!”
I shouted with anger and frustration.
How much gold had I borrowed from Helena to make my ship, the Deathwing, roar?
Of course I’d be furious after that ship got wrecked.
In a moment, as my demonic wings unfurled behind me, gravity returned as I neared the Black Lion.
I began to spin, my posture wobbled, but with a transcendent sense, I managed to land perfectly.
Thud-!
With the Demon Sword in hand, I surveyed the area ahead.
I was on the hunt for the enemies boarding this Black Lion ship.
There were exactly 15 of them.
A slightly overwhelming number for one person.
But.
Thud-!
With a firm stomp, there was no hesitation in my movement.
As I ran, I observed the atmosphere inside the ship.
A subtly flowing current. The gazes of the players converged in one direction.
That must be where the ship’s captain was.
My vision whirled quickly toward that spot.
The very center of the Black Lion ship.
There, atop it, was the command room.
A user who appeared to be the captain was indeed there.
At the same time, our eyes met.
Anger, disgust, a deep-seated hostility filled their gaze.
It was only natural. We were the ones who had interrupted their peaceful raid.
But.
I was angrier than they were.
“Hyahhhh!”
Don’t back down.
Don’t hesitate.
Not even a single attack shall be allowed.
Users on the ship tried to block my path, but with sharp turns and the appropriate Charge skill, I easily shook them off.
I parried ranged attacks coming from afar with my sword.
The speed didn’t matter.
Everything looked the same to me, living in a different world from everyone else.
Bang-! Kwang! Bam!
Kiiing-!
While swinging the Demon Sword to deflect all incoming attacks, I suddenly heard a familiar sound.
A massive clock-like effect spread beneath my feet.
A wizard. Not just any wizard, but a user with the Chronomancer class’s skill [Time Acceleration].
There was only one person who could cast such a skill on me right now.
Helena.
I knew it without even looking.
It was clear she had boarded this ship just in time to grant me a buff.
In an instant, time split. My mind accelerated, but my body felt a dissonance that quickly aligned with it.
A straight line.
Only a straight line.
The moment my feet slammed down, my body shot towards the command room’s giant glass wall.
Kwang!
A powerful impact enhanced by speed.
I swung my sword and shattered the giant glass.
With a spectacular effect, shards of glass exploded outward, scattering black light particles in all directions.
And there, the stunned face of the user in front of me entered my view.
“Hyaaaat!”
How dare they touch the ship of the Blood Demon King?
In a situation where I couldn’t even imagine how much gold it would cost to fix it.
Naturally, I couldn’t forgive this guy.
I was prepared to give him the worst death possible with all my strength.
Swoosh!
I turned off all buffs that increased my attack power.
With only my raw physical abilities and a brief acceleration buff, I swung the sword.
Arms, legs, thighs.
In one swift strike, I engraved three wounds.
“Kuuh, kuuh!”
My vision darted, confirming the enemy’s class.
Dressed in blue robes, they were an ice-element wizard.
I wouldn’t give them even a moment to cast.
I relentlessly pressed them with small attacks.
Just enough to not kill them.
Swoosh! Slash!
Swoosh!
The opposing wizard tried to cast brief or unnecessary skills, but couldn’t escape me.
They had no idea how many wizards I had faced.
Breath control and gaze management.
The movements of the staff-wielding hand.
The skill they were about to use, along with the blink’s distance and direction.
I observed and calculated everything.
May they die in regret and despair.
I plunged the Demon Sword into the ground.
Using a weapon would result in their quick demise.
So, I chose to use my bare hands.
Though my fists might look tiny and silly, their damage couldn’t be overlooked.
“Hyah!”
With a large right hook.
The opposing wizard went into a brief invincible state using an ice barrier, but that was all.
I exhaled and readied my stance before them.
A technique I had never used on anyone else before.
I was about to unleash that rush, which had thrashed Jupiter’s gut mercilessly.
Inside the ice barrier.
I could feel the enemy’s gaze.
Anxiety, fear, and regret.
But now, it was too late for regrets.
Crack-!
The instant the duration of the ice barrier ended.
My fist was already moving.
“Achyuachyuachyuachu!”
The ice shattered.
My tiny fist pierced through the gap like a needle.
With all surviving skills stripped away, the opposing wizard had no choice but to receive my attack.
Dudududududududud!
“Achyuachyuachyuachu!”
Dududududududud!
Arms, legs, thighs, chest, head.
I struck all parts without discrimination.
Just as the wizard’s health dropped to 2%.
I prepared to deliver the final blow by tossing the wizard into the air.
My fist was drawn back.
My legs widened more than shoulder-width apart.
My upper body lowered.
My gaze fixed solely on the opposing wizard.
“St-st-stop…!”
They seemed to realize their end was near and spoke hastily, but my hand was already flying forward.
You are already dead.
Bam!
The final strike.
A pure strike of strength, unaffected by weapon attack power.
The overwhelming power stat of a warrior was enough to wipe out the wizard’s remaining 2% health.
As their face crumpled and turned gray, the wizard’s corpse floated upward, flying off into the depths of space.
“Ha…”
I exhaled softly and surveyed my surroundings.
The enemies that had scattered in all directions were now neatly cleaned up.
Helena, the Snow Mage, and the Hwarang who had followed me were finishing them off.
We won.
Yet, instead of joy in victory, my sadness loomed over the gold I owed.
I couldn’t find it in me to smile.
My suffering.
Why was I playing this game in such agony?
My pain wasn’t something I had to endure alone.
Yes.
I would inflict the same pain on others.
The suffering of having to bear the repair costs of a wrecked ship…!
I dashed out of the captain’s room with the Demon Sword slung over my shoulder.
Blood dripped from my hands, but who cared?
“The captain is out!!!”
Only the Snow Mage responded to my reappearance.
I waved one hand at her and surveyed the vast expanse of space.
The sight of battles breaking out everywhere around us.
As much damage as the enemies took, our ship also sustained significant losses.
Most importantly, since it was an ambush during the raid, the Observer of Chaos was also rampaging.
If we didn’t clean up the enemies quickly, the Soft & Chewy [Temporary] Alliance would be wrecked by that giant whale.
The roars of my Deathwing and Helena’s were now half-destroyed and immobile.
Then…
I recalled the ship that had drifted away, destroyed in space.
The Black Lion ship we were currently on would soon vanish as well.
If they could do it, so could we.
I summoned the first-stage ship I had crafted first.
Though it looked very, very shabby, it was the only one I could operate right now.
“Everyone board!”
I had four party members with me. That meant I could summon four more first-stage ships.
“Let’s go!”
“Could it be…?”
“Hey, is this the direction we’re flying…?”
Ignoring Chloe and Hwarang’s voices coming from behind.
The ship’s speed was at maximum.
Our target was the enemy’s flagship.
I was determined to smash all the large ships visible before my eyes.
With a pirate hat in hand, I stretched out my Demon Sword and shouted.
“Charge at full speed!”
“We’re already at max speed!!!”
Once again, the only one responding was the Snow Mage.
“Our goal is the destruction of all ships!”
“Wooahhh!!!”
The first-stage ship carrying five of us dashed away from the wrecked Black Lion and charged toward the new enemy vessels.
Kwang!
We didn’t slow down.
We didn’t even change direction.
A bold advance.
A fearless collision.
With a shock that rattled the entire ship, we leaped out into the fray.
Though the collision of a mere first-stage ship didn’t deal massive damage, it was enough to momentarily halt the enemy’s movements.
“Helena!”
The one person I had worked with the longest in this scene was Helena.
As I called out to her just before charging, she nodded and drew her staff.
I left the support of movement to Helena.
My target was singular.
The captain controlling this ship.
Before I recalled the ship, I aimed to take them down, preventing them from protecting it.
That was my sole thought.
I wanted them to feel the sadness and rage I had experienced.
So off I went.
“Hyahhhh!”
Kiiing!
As I charged, an effect burst forth.
Helena’s Time Acceleration buff was activated yet again.
Glancing slightly, I saw she was regaining and putting on the world item she had used before to fully support me.
Vroom!
My body shot forward rapidly.
Various skills flew at me in an attempt to block me, but none could catch up to my speed.
A straight line.
Feeling the relentless urge to destroy, I swung my sword without restraint.
Kwang!
As I crashed into the command room, a similar scenario unfolded.
Fear of who the enemy was didn’t faze me.
I had the talents and skills to handle it, not to mention Helena’s support.
I would kill every user on this ship and demolish the ship itself.
Time passed, and catching my breath, I gazed out and noticed the battle was reaching its conclusion.
Our scattered allies began to regroup.
This battle had indeed ended in victory for our Soft & Chewy [Temporary] Alliance.
