“Ha… ha…”
Sohee was really enjoying the ribs, eating them with enthusiasm.
The atmosphere was nice.
I gulped nervously, glancing around, and cautiously opened my mouth.
“Hey, Sohee…”
“Yeah?”
“Could you take a look at this?”
What I pulled out of my pocket was my phone.
I showed Sohee the selfie we took earlier in Deron.
Since it was set to third-person camera mode, it looked more like someone else had taken it rather than a typical selfie.
It was just a regular screenshot without any special effects, but the model certainly sparkled because of who she was.
“So, what do you think…?”
“Did you get a new costume?”
“Yep!”
I knew she would recognize it immediately.
I started wiggling my butt as I told Sohee about my day.
From logging into Deron to meeting Melvin and starting to draw gacha tickets.
When I explained the rarity of the obsidian cloak, I even showed her screenshots captured from the Deron gallery.
I explained how others had dumped so much gold just to get that one cloak.
Sohee, who listened to every word, set her chopsticks down and nodded.
“Well… you were lucky.”
“Right!”
That’s what I wanted to say.
Unlike the ordinary folks, I managed to get the cloak for little money.
So, it was definitely not a loss.
I nodded at her, hoping she understood the hidden meaning in my words.
As soon as I finished speaking, a subtle silence fell.
Sohee, with a blank expression, stared down at her bowl of rice.
She then handed me her bowl and said,
“More.”
“Ah, okay!”
I jumped up and dashed to the rice cooker.
Sohee eats a lot.
Considering her large chest and backside, it made perfect sense.
I scooped a generous serving of white rice into her bowl.
“Here!”
“Thanks.”
And thus, Sohee’s meal resumed.
I rested my chin in my hand, silently watching her.
I still had things I wanted to say, but they were hard to bring up.
How much time passed, I wonder.
When Sohee had emptied about half of her new bowl of rice, I finally began to speak.
“Are you short on allowance?”
“Um… a little…?”
“I’ll deposit some for you later.”
“Wow…”
I covered my mouth and slumped back into my chair.
I never expected her to offer me money so easily.
I thought I’d either be dragged onto the bed or have my clothes stripped at the dining table, but Sohee was completely calm.
Once Sohee finished her meal, she stood up and headed toward the work room instead of the bedroom.
I didn’t know what she was doing inside, but it was her workspace.
“Um… what time are you going to bed today?”
“Not sure… probably around 11?”
I hurriedly checked the clock at her reply.
There was still quite some time left before it would be 11 PM.
So, that meant I had time to play Deron.
“Oh, I see! Then…”
I nodded and started to clean up the table.
Sohee watched quietly, smiling faintly before walking into her workspace.
*
I logged into Deron and immediately headed to the gold vending machine.
I had received new allowance, so it was time to buy a new costume.
That was all I could think about.
“Blood Demon King…?”
“Ah…”
But someone was already at the vending machine.
A wizard clad in a blue robe.
It was the Snow Mage.
Always thinking of me and the best accomplice who moved for me.
“Is that…!”
“Uh…!”
The Snow Mage gasped in shock when she finally noticed me.
I waved my arms dramatically, making my cloak sway behind me.
Did you see that, Snow Mage?
This is the unique costume, the obsidian cloak.
“Obsidian cloak…! Did you really draw that?!”
“Yep, I got lucky.”
“Wow, wow!”
Of course, the best reaction came from the Snow Mage.
I struck what I thought was the coolest pose, continuing to show off the cloak’s awesomeness.
“That’s so cool!”
“Hehe…”
“Absolutely the best!”
“Hehe…”
The Snow Mage even started clapping her hands.
The gazes of users passing by began to focus on us.
The attention was hotter than when I was strolling around showcasing the cloak earlier.
I crossed my arms and wore a smug expression.
“What brings you here? Are you here to draw another costume?”
“Yeah. Did you come to draw a costume too, Snow Mage?”
“Well, originally I just planned to buy some doping potions, but seeing you, I want to draw something too.”
After hesitating for a moment with a tilted head, the Snow Mage quickly shut her eyes tight and started pressing the vending machine’s buttons furiously.
Tatata-tah—
She bought various doping potions and two costume boxes.
I, too, followed suit and bought ten random costume boxes.
“Wow, you’re buying ten at once?”
“I need to buy this much to get a good costume.”
“Hmm… your spending habits have really increased lately.”
“Is that so…?”
I tilted my head somewhat at the Snow Mage’s comment.
Have I really been spending more?
After thinking about it, I realized it seemed true.
No, it was definitely true. I wondered when I started spending so freely.
I used to feel anxious if I didn’t have a certain amount of gold in my inventory.
“Um…”
The Snow Mage, who had moved us to a quiet spot, looked tense as she glanced down at her box.
“Should I go first?”
“Yeah.”
[Snow Mage has received ‘Bunny Ears’ from the random costume box!]
[Snow Mage has received ‘Guard’s Helmet’ from the random costume box!]
“Ah…”
The Snow Mage let out a lamenting sigh.
She wore the bunny ears that came out of the box, looking miserable.
But she looked cute, so I was relieved.
I chuckled softly at the sight of the Snow Mage.
Now it was my turn.
I started tapping on the ten boxes in rapid succession to pull out the contents.
The system messages popped up in a row.
But this time, I didn’t get any special costumes.
This time, the animal ear series, guard costumes, or vagabond adventurer armor were all I got.
“Hmm…”
“Blood Demon King.”
“Yeah?”
“Did you perhaps discover a new gold farming route?”
“Gold farming?”
I tilted my head at the Snow Mage’s question.
Since I had been logging in less than usual, I hadn’t even thought about gold farming.
So where would I have found the time to discover a new gold farming route?
“Yes, you have a lot more gold than usual, even though you’ve been logging in less.”
“Well, that’s…”
“You found it, didn’t you! A new farming spot!”
Her eyes sparkling as she asked, the Snow Mage looked at me eagerly.
I awkwardly smiled and looked away.
I couldn’t bring myself to say I used my allowance to buy gold.
“Se-secret…”
“Ah…! Please tell me!”
“No way…”
“Is it because you’re worried that if a rival appears, your gains will decrease?”
“I-it’s somewhat similar…”
“Hmm…!”
I purposely ignored the Snow Mage’s probing gaze.
It was a clear indication that I wouldn’t answer anymore, no matter how much she pressed.
After maintaining that for a while, the Snow Mage finally backed off her intense staring.
Meanwhile, she smiled brightly and said to me,
“Well, I’m off then!”
“Where are you headed?”
“I need to start preparing for dinner.”
“Oh, you haven’t had dinner yet.”
“Right. Have you had dinner yet, Blood Demon King?”
“Yeah, earlier with Sohee…”
“With Helena? Did you two have dinner together?”
“Um, yes.”
I nodded at the Snow Mage’s question.
She knew I was friends with Sohee, aka Helena, so she didn’t hesitate to bring up real-life topics.
Of course, I didn’t mention that we had started living together.
“By the way, I’ve noticed Helena hasn’t been logging in much lately.”
“Sounds like she’s busy.”
“I see…”
An awkward silence fell.
The Snow Mage, sensing the tension, waved goodbye to me with a smile, just like usual.
“I’ll see you during the weekend raid!”
“Yeah~”
Whoosh—
*
The Snow Mage returned to the character selection screen and logged into her sub-character.
Though she said as if she was quitting the game, she had no intention of leaving just yet.
Logging in as [Blood Demon King Fan], the Snow Mage headed to a secluded spot.
That was where her main character and the respected Blood Demon King had last stood.
Blood Demon King Yeo was still standing there.
Unsure if she had unfinished business, she sat on a nearby bench and admired her for a while.
With her cute, small cheeks and long, pale legs.
She wanted to reach out and touch, but doing so would likely land her in Helena’s fiery wrath.
The Snow Mage swallowed hard, watching intently as her beloved Blood Demon King’s every move.
How much time had passed?
Suddenly, Yeo sprang up and shouted with a strong voice,
“Come forth!”
Cawww-!
She flapped her short limbs excitedly, summoning a rare griffon, the Wind Walker.
The tiny griffon, fitting for the summoner’s size, flapped its wings and expressed familiarity toward Yeo.
“Shall we go!”
Now was the time.
The Snow Mage quickly dashed out, maximizing her camera mode.
Lighting, angles, posture, everything was perfect.
Having done this repeatedly for a long time, the Snow Mage didn’t make mistakes.
Click-!
A shutter sound only the Snow Mage could hear echoed.
A successful screenshot was captured.
What she captured was the moment Yeo was about to mount the griffon, Beak.
The skirt flew up, exposing her underwear.
The smooth, pale thighs were still there, and covering her petite rear was a new pair of panties.
With an adorable pattern of cat paw prints right on the center of her backside.
The Snow Mage bit her lip, holding back her breath.
And at the same time, she thought.
Today’s concept post in the Deron gallery would be hers.
Though if she only posted this screenshot, there was a chance of being banned.
The Snow Mage began taking shots of Yeo soaring into the air, one after another.
Click click click—
One close-up of the thighs.
Two close-ups of the armpits.
The rest were normal screenshots capturing the awesome sight of the cloak fluttering.
If she mixed in two types of screenshots, there was no way she’d get banned.
Finally, the Snow Mage logged out.
